flood waters are gone, now working on cleanup. first order of business is installing a sump pump and utility tub down there. almost done - just hooking into water and waste pipes this morning (as my floor vibrates from the cutting of pipes down there!)

Glad it's all coming back together.

Nice bike ride. Need to do that more often--hills are hard!

Lunch is over, have all the fabric for the top of the quilt, so am going to get started on cutting it out. Still need to sort out a backing, but didn't see anything I liked--either too busy or too light.

Yeah. Roads here seldom have enough shoulder for me to be comfortable riding them, and most have lots of traffic that's going way too fast. Outside the neighborhood, it's all blind corners and no shoulders.

Good evening. Went to a one-woman show this afternoon - it was fantastic and I had not looked forward to it. Just missed drenching rain on the interstate both coming and going thankfully.

Lynn,glad the cleanup hss gone well and that all the dear creatures are doing well.

Dname, I do not recall Poof mentioning anything about a trip to Tunica either. Hope she wins BIG.

Ice - hope you enjoy lots of fun baby time. I have not had an opportunity to hold a baby for at least ten years. Love them.

Mavyn - my hubby used to love trail riding. I found street riding (without traffic of course) enough of a workout for me.

We liked it enough that we're planning on going back in May. A duo bike/raft trip most likely.

Odds may be good but glad you didn't bet on it. When Poof mentioned that name I remember that I had never heard of that area before... so she did mention going there.

I had no clue what state it was located or why she was going. Thought maybe it was where her family lived or a friend so I don't think she mentioned gambling at the time.

No--we're both too out of shape for that. Figured we should go somewhere close, no point driving 45 minutes for a 30 minute bike ride. We went to the head of the McDade trail.

Got my name tag for the quilt guild done. Whew, glad I'm not being graded on it. No pattern, just had to include the guild logo and my name. Ugly. Will learn about applique and do it over sometime.
