I would love to be sporting this shirt around the Capitol Wasteland. Does it give me +1 Charisma?

Re: Set Sail Upon the Open Screen

I saw it as well. :/ Really sad that the rejectionator rejected without posting for clarification. Happened to several entries this month.

My speech is not parsing. I am speaking in ellipsis.

ydnarb81 wrote:You know this is a nice shirt but it in NO WAY follows the theme. This should be rejected from this derby and resubmitted in a more appropriate one. Sorry

Ok and when you say that you should tell everyone why you think it isn't on theme. The rejectionator doesn't listen to vague comments.

I think it's on theme because the word is formed out of the trailing tail of the patronus. That's what I see. If someone didn't know the reference I can see why they might think it was off topic but I'm sure the fine nerds at shirt.woot! get it... Which explains why it's Thursday and this shirt is still here. THANK YOU shirt.woot! NERDS!!!

Re: COLLABORATE

Got to add my thanks from a Singapore transit lounge on a flight to India. While my first collaboration here was a big one it was a positive experience in every way. All the artists were mighty fine to work with. Each letter holds up well on it's own and really made something special together.

Re: After All This Time

I can't believe a t-shirt design made me tear up!!

In the list, when all you can see is the doe, I thought it was Bambi. Obviously, once I saw the full image, I knew what it was.

Whichever poster said Alan Rickman put more feeling into one word than many do in entire speeches is spot on.

Ack! I'm about to tear up again!

There's a certain beauty to curiosity's being a nine-letter word. This discovery, alone, should make this shirt win.

ApeLad wrote:I totally get what you're saying. Sorry if I came across as snarky.

I think it's a good clarification - filling letters with a crowd and making it look like it could be a simple crowd image with a clipping mask over it is a pretty cool feat I'd say. I don't see it as "easier" than the other derby approach of shaping objects into letters or words. And I agree, loose rules make for multiple & interesting executions.

Keep it up, Apelad! i can't wait to see if I can get these for my whole family Sat or Sun.

Re: C Is for Cookie

Sorry to hear this was rejected. I voted it for it because I thought it was rather adorable and wanted one (or two :P )...Also I can't seem to find the similar shirts that exist, either... Maybe they don't want two Cookie Monster shirts up? I dunno. Just a random thought..

If you squint, tilt your head 5 degrees to the left, and imagine the Y was RCH, you'll notice it actually says, "Marchday"

Re: COLLABORATE

I haven't been able to check the derby submissions nearly as often lately, so I didn't get to vote for this. But I wanted to say that it's awesome and I wish I could've voted for it. I write plays, so it has the added bonus of being a fun wear-to-the-theater shirt. Collaborative art is awesome. yay!
