"Poor" and "bad" *are* synonyms after a fashion, so you are somewhat correct...

However, my original word choice was intentional as I tend to view the subject of grammar in black and white, correct and incorrect, acceptable and unacceptable.
I'm ok with 1337 and all that jazz in the proper forums and usually love them as jokes... I just don't think that incorrect grammar fits as well with this joke than the rest of the well thought-out design.

(A quick check in Merriam Webster actually provides "bad grammar" as an example under the sixth definition of "bad." Funneh.)
