As much as I loved this shirt (and bought 3 for me and 3 in K4,K6 and K8 for boy to grow into) it blows my mind that it sold 11K in just 6 weeks and a couple of days (since it was recokoned in the middle of the week.) I miss it!

wow I have missed some things haven't I. I approve of the new number 1.

If that shirt had lived a normal life, then The Bird would have been gone a few weeks ago.

Such a tragedy, to be taken so young when it had so much more to accomplish....

And just think, that's not even close to a record for fastest selling shirt on Woot. The Cheese is a Liederkranz moved over 10K in less than two weeks (it was over 8K after one).

Housewarming Gifts - Sold 114

It's still hard for me to believe that "Housewarming Gifts" is the worst-selling daily (i.e., non-special event) tee ever. I think it's vastly under-appreciated. I know it's pretty winter-specific, but I would have thought the design would appeal to more people. It seems to me like it should have attracted people who like "cute" AND the more "artsy" crowd, but instead it seems like it didn't quite resonate with either group. Poor little house. I wonder if it would have done better in the pre-Christmas months... that red hat and scarf are quite festive, after all.

They're definitely red on the shirt... they do have a pattern of little pink x's on them, but it doesn't scream "PINK!!" to me.

I admit I can see how this design might not appeal to a lot of guys, though. Especially the guys who complain in the shirt thread for EVERY single cute animal shirt, "How am I supposed to wear this? IT DOESN'T MATCH MY TESTOSTERONE OMGWTFBBQ"

Not necessarily, as both It Came Out of Nowhere (week 233) and Code of Arms (week 234) occupied spot #20 before Nevermore was #20 in week 235. These shirts were higher than Nevermore in 235.

The scarf is definitely red on the shirt and looks red on my monitor too.

I think a late January release definitely hurt it and light blue doesn't seem to be a very popular color here. I'm sort of "meh" about it. I got it in a random and I will probably wear it if no one wants to trade (size WXL if anyone is interested), but it's a little to "precious" for my style. Then again, so are cats and those seem to be all the rage around here.

So yeah. Not sure why it did THAT poorly for sales.

I think the write-up helped to kill it off. Here's a picture of a cute house yet the writeup is talking about how it's falling apart, no one bought it, and was never loved. Sad, and kind of doesn't match a picture of a happy looking house.
I got one in my second set of randoms and it's working out as a wonderful sleep shirt. Makes me feel like a kid, somehow...

Ehhh.... I'm sorta new to actually buying the shirts rather than just checking out the design and smiling, I'm still kicking myself for missing out on Schroedinger's Equation and Makin' Bread due to not really investigating how the designs come and go.
(Do the designers ever print their own stuff, is there hope of getting these other than watching for them on eBay and hoping they are in my size?)

I have been trying to keep up daily so I don't miss another one I really wanted. Am looking forward to my READ and Start of Spring, which should arrive imminently.

Oh, and the BLT shirt is way cute, I may still get that one....

You can always try teetrade.org, especially following random sales, where people will often sell/swap shirts they don't want.

Alternately, Woot's weekly side-sales have been making a lot of recent designs available again in a variety of formats.

Congratulations! Having lost weight myself (I used to "need" XL), I know it's not easy, but it's worth it.

Thought I'd never be a fan of The Raven ever again, but I do love Quoth Raven. Ideally I'd like to see it get voted into the reckoning, knock Nevermore off, and spend around a year there itself (but not four years).

The Reckoning is in desperate need of a glow-in-the-dark shirt. Nothing has quite filled the void left by Run Away and Dark Night. Not that they haven't tried.

I'm surprised My Morning Sidekick sold under 2,000. Granted, it is all on Anvil blanks. I bought one, in what I'd call a knee-jerk reaction, without checking the blanks first. This is my second Anvil shirt purchase; however my first one hasn't arrived yet. I broke my own rule.

Then again, Honest Packaging is mainly AA and it sold just as poorly. They're both great designs, just no love for them this weekend.

I would have bought at least two copies of My Morning Sidekick if it had been on AA.

I'm also really surprised by the (comparatively) low sales. Too cartoonish? I dunno - that's what I like about it. (Even though I've lost weight, I still enjoy many of the food shirts.)

I can say why I passed on it, even though it's on AA and blue (yay!). The design is simply too large and that means no stretch in the chest. Plus, I found the squirrel too flat looking.

I voted for the design & think it's cute, but it wouldn't have been very wearable for me. I would have bought one for my kid, since he avoids hfcs like the plague, but kids weren't AA.

Sounds reasonable. I'm a guy, so I don't think about that part.
