This is a funky take on the Art Nouveau and I think is really cool. I like all the different patterns and textures mix in together.

So I'm drawing, drawing, jamming to my music, clean up my lines, finish all the halftones, start to kinda feel good about it, and suddenly the music hangs. And I think "Wait. When was the last time I saved?" And then I have a long moment of "Wow, am I a fool" as my computer crashes.

So, uh, hey kids! Remember to save your work every five minutes!

May or may not find the time to re-finish this...

I firmly beleive that ninjas can be done in any style. Why should cats have all the fun?

Phew. We got it. Hit a few bumps in the road with this one, but we're both very happy with the outcome!

I loooove the art nouveau style, so I am excited to see what this derby brings. I have a friend who is an artist and is amazing at art nouveau style, but she does hand drawing, with pencil and paper. If I were to direct her to give designing a shirt here a shot, does anyone have any suggestions for how to move the work from paper to printable style? How is this done?

She is a remarkable artist, and I think she could bring a lot of amazing designs to the community if she got used to the digital design process here, so I hope someone has some advice.

It seems a little late to submit a design, let alone learn how to convert print to a working digital shirt design. Many designs that win are put up on Friday.

To switch mediums, she could scan the image and use the pen tool in Photoshop to trace everything in a vector format. (I'm not an artist, so this might not be how the artists around here do it...)

Another option would be simply to get a tablet so there's no need to switch from paper to digital.

When I first saw the topic I groaned a little because I did not know the first thing about Art Nouveau. But a little research and a little fun drawing and I am surprised how much I love both creating in this style and seeing all the wonderful submissions from everyone else.

Again Woot has surprised me with their awesomeness!

This "Art Nouveau" business must be the latest "thing".
I feel like I'm seeing "moon-framed ladies" everywhere.

As expected, sales should be brisk come Friday.

Yeah, Art Nouveau has become quite the thing lately. Mighty Fine has been running AN versions of the XMen/MLP and such for a while now. It's one reason I was glad to see the "No Pop Culture" restriction on this one - because there's so much of that out already.
