Why is Mercury blue? Makes me think of it as a water/gas planet when really its an iron bound hunk of rock. Great from a design perspective, not so much from a scientific one :/

lol, I have an eerily similar sketch. Racing planets, funny faces, saturn holding up it's ring... but my pluto had the starting gun and they were lined up in a row on the starting line. I like your composition better!! nice job. ;)

I'm with you! Tycho was probably one of the most important Astronomers (I went with Kepler for mine). I'm kind of disappointed how little most of the top-voted designs actually have to do with the science of astronomy.

I love this concept. The rendering of the super nova is extraordinary and it goes well with your person-graphic. I'm just not fond of the way the chemical equations seem superimposed, not part of, the image.

If you had worked them in more, or used a different font, or something... this would certainly have my vote, and I'd be begging my friends to vote for it, too. I'd really want it.
