Rocket-owl flies a free-return trajectory around the moon...

I merged two older designs and tried some new things, so I would love feedback on this one!

Love the textures and style. Reminds me of a science book from the 50's.

Re: Universal Fun

I really like the simple color scheme, I think it adds to the whimsical nature.

Re: Storytelling

I might like it better if it just showed to stars of the constellations connected rather than the shape of the animal around it too. It's still a gorgeous design. d(^_^o)

Re: Prancing in the Stars

This is really beautiful, my kind of design! I do wish it was nice and big and centered on the shirt though. Such a pretty design needs to be super visible! Awesome work!

5. I did it in Illustrator. The shadows and highlights are percentages of the main colors. There would be a white underbase under the quarks.

It baffles me as to why so many people like this. A red design on a red background makes it difficult to distinguish from the shirt itself.

I wasn't happy with the shading on my earlier version. Here's a poem by way of explanation.

Up hasn't slept in days,
Down suffers from malaise.
Charm has a magic buzz.
Strange is as strange does.
Top is the king of the hill.
Bottom crashed; he's feeling ill.

Re: Ultimate Mooning

On the assumption that this is a serious entry, you need to make some adjustments to this if you don't want it rejected.

1-No photos are allowed. Woot does not have the machinery necessary to print photos. And even if they could, it has to be your photo. Unless you have a large format telescope, the photos here probably aren't yours.
2-The subject matter could cause this to be rejected. Since woot prints kids's shirts as well, they say that shirts should be PG-13. But PG-9 is more like it.

lyonscc wrote:Thank you.

The background is all random (from a mathematical filter), and the foreground was all done from scratch, using Illustrator brushes and tools. The Golden Mean commonly shows up in nature pics (there was a derby that had it as part of the theme last year, too, I believe) in various forms. And the alchemy symbols were all pulled from my college days, where I was a member of a Chemistry fraternity and delved into alchemical history...

This is amazing! I think I was in that same chemistry group in college. We also memorized the alchemical symbols and their meanings. This absolutely has my vote. Fingers crossed!
