I loved for this. It's very clever. Wish the shirt wasn't a dark green. Love the design.

Thanks wirdou! I've got a feeling you are going to print this week! I can't believe I didn't think about Risk.

I really hope you are right, it would mean a lot to me (it's probably one of the designs I've enjoyed the most), but It's a really competitive fog! With yours, and Walmazan's, Ramyb's, Patrick's, Ochopika's, Lucky's, etc... They are all great. Sighs... Why they just choose three? hahahaha
And actually I didn't think about RISK at first, I thought about Pandemic (great game, you should try) and then I came up with all the infective characters trying to rule the world....then RISK seemed to suit perfectly, then the "Pandemic risk" pun, etc. I think my brain had a lucky day on thursday... hahah

Yay! Someone else either loves old paintings or had to sit through hours of Art History in college.

This design is awesome because it's such an original concept and it's very readable and funny. Niiice work.

I'm sorry, maybe I'm dumb. I get the analogy to Monopoly but what is the king for? Is there some reference I'm not getting? Why isn't the bunny, say, dragging the nasty monopoly police man off to eat him?

I do like the shirt, I'm just a little confused. I usually "get" even the most esoteric woot shirts so this bit is bothering me

I noticed "They're playing a board game" has just disappeard but is not "rejected." Does it take awhile for submissions to be stamped or is this getting brushed under the rug?

For what its worth, Mrmeh, I laughed so hard when I saw your submission! I would have bought one just so I could snicker to myself now and then.

downsyndrom wrote:Although this is awesome, and a magic player myself, dose this qualify as a board game?

Yes, the term "board game" has come to include a number of games that don't include boards but aren't standard card games (like Poker).

If you head to your local gaming store and look at the "board game" section you'll actually see a number of games that don't have boards. Examples being: Apples to Apples (and related games), BANG!, Ring of Fire, Yahtzee, Fluxx, and Munchkin are all considered "board games" despite not having a board.

Re: Tiki Turmoil

The shirt can be used as a board to play an original game I created called “Tiki Turmoil” All you need is a deck of normal playing cards and something to mark your place on the board.
Rules-
-At the beginning of the game everyone draws 4 cards.
-To progress to the next space you must play a card with equal or greater value than the number shown or a card in suit pictured.
-Each turn you may choose to draw a card or play a card.
-On a portal space (the doors) you can play a card with the same number as that space to teleport. After teleporting that player reveals the next card on the deck. They are then teleported to the corresponding doorway value.
-If two players are on a tiki space they must duel, each player plays a card face down (if a player has no cards they draw a card and play it). They then reveal the card and the highest value wins. The winner steals a card at random from the loser (draws a card if the loser has no cards)and if there is a slide attached to the space the loser must go back to the space on the other end of the slide.
-First to Tiki Temple wins!

Re: Dogs Playing Go

Inspired by two things . . . the iconic dogs playing poker and old Japanese silk paintings of people playing go.

This features four Asian dog breeds . . . The Japanese Chin, Chow Chow, Pug, and Shiba Inu.

My first derby entry.

Most likely a "weekender" called in the bigs for a ruling. Rejection ensued, followed by removal of the offending piece by the artist either at the "encouragement" of the staff, or out of a sense of "served its purpose, nothing more to see, move along". You can relive the events by checking the amusement park derby, where a similar thing happened.

The thing to "get" with this design is that cats (cat macros, Cats vs Dogs, cats on the internet) are taking over the world. As most nefarious villains who attempt world domination have curly mustaches, so do these cats.
