Re: The God of Thunder

I don't get it...what does this have to do with board games?

Funny, though.

Having him flat line would help as well. The machine reads from left to right so that beat is very recent.

...agreed...i had intended the glow to be more pronounced, but by the time i finished tweaking things here and there i failed to realize how subtle it turned out in the end...

..i originally sketched this with just a straight line on the monitor, but i was afraid it might not be easily recognized as a flat line...in hindsight i would probably be more satisfied personally if it were...as far as how the heart monitor reads, you are correct that they run from left to right, but that makes the beat recorded in my illustration having occurred moments previous to the present (as it is depicted as a spike in the reading, followed by a straight line of inactivity)..i skimmed several selections of film footage to insure accuracy, so i'm not sure where you're coming from with that logic...

thanks for the input nonetheless!

Re: War Games

The text and reference to the iconic poster is what makes this interesting. Without the text it's just a Battleship game piece floating in water.

Which would probably be more to the liking of the Woot crowd sadly..

I think Jon Snow is Stark's nephew (by his beloved sister) so he is a Stark even though he doesn't now have the name. This is not a spoiler but just something that jumped out at me from clues in the first couple of books. Jon is destined for one of the dragons I think so his dire wolf's depiction here is very appropriate.

No, Jon Snow is the bastard son of Eddard Stark. Bastards in the north are named "Snow". Here's a chart.
Region/ Surname/ Example Character
Reach/ Flowers/ Ser Robert Flowers
Westerlands/ Hill/ Joy Hill
Iron Islands/ Pyke/ Wex Pyke
Riverlands/ Rivers/ Walder Rivers
Dorne/ Sand/ Nymeria Sand
North/ Snow/ Jon Snow
Vale/ Stone/ Alayne Stone
Stormlands/ Storm/ Ser Rolland Storm
Crownlands/ Waters/ Aurane Waters

move along

I wholeheartedly agree. Hoping this makes the cut so I can buy one and painstakingly scratch off the text with a dull knife.
