Work your way back to the primary timeline, but beware the The Norwegian Troll doll waits to send you back to the start!

Naolito wrote:I'm resubing this not because I'm pretending to contradict the rejection by sending this one again, it will probably end up rejected, but I'd like to know the reason of the rejection. I keep thinking in a possible reason and the only one I came up is that it's similiar to some copyrighted ouijas, but all manufacturer's ouijas are really similar in their look, no matter who makes it... so I think that it's safe in that. Maybe the title? I guess you had told me to change it if it where the case. I just want to know what we did bad here
According to wikipedia, Ouija is a registered trademark of Hasbro. I'm guessing that having the word ouija across the top of the board is the no-no.
Re: Turbolifts and Teleporters
My first rejected!!! I am both sad and happy about this!
Re: Why I hate Scrabble...
I believe "Scrabble" is a trademarked word, so this will probably get rejected.
Re: Cakes and Cubes
Amazing!!! I want to play :D
Re: Vendetta is an Eight Letter Word
Brilliant!

Yes, this is the case. I had to scrub "Catan" from my submission to get it to fly, for the same reason.
Re: I see dead people
It's probably the name on the top...
Re: One Number To Rule Them All
Awesome work!
It is also possible that the board artwork, itself, is copyrighted...
Re: Angel of the Pawnocalypse
I like that, that is very clever.

chaoswerecat wrote:love it! sorry that I answered your questions so late!
No problem. Glad you love it!
ReflectiveRobot wrote:Very subtle reference. I think it will have non-Catan players wondering if you need something other than sheep to count, in order to fall asleep. The mystery could be a good conversation starter
Thanks very much... very glad to hear that, because I actually was hoping the non-catan players would see it in a 'counting sheep' kind of way, so happy you think that too!
Re: words with fiends
Those words aren't very friendly Funny stuff. GMV
Re: Trivial Matters
I see so much of myself in the right piece. Mmm, pie. This is, as expected from you two, fab!
Re: War Games
hits (pl.) sink hit (sing.) sinks
Re: 3 Person Chess resub
It never dawned on me that the word "Spock" might be grounds for rejection as well... Either way you still have my vote, because I think the design still works.

thanks tjschaeffer! I hope others feel the same.
Naolito wrote:Uhm, why you can't run this? I think that i'm missing something...
My guess is Ouija is copyrighted. It's too bad, I really like this.
Re: My Bad
This is hilarious
Re: Trapped!
Love the style here. GMV.
Very clever, though I'm not digging it on that shirt color and would prefer something darker.
Yep, that was the first thing I pegged as the culprit when I saw the other one rejected.
CrystaIEyes wrote:Grammatically, should't it be "Sinks ships?" The way you have it is more like 2 separate events. First lots of hits happen and then the battleship sinking happens. If you wanted it to be one phrase with cause and effect (like the poster), "Lots of hits sinks battleships" makes a lot more sense. Up to you, I love the design, but the missing S sorta bothers me. Sorry if I didn't explain that very well, just wanted to point it out early for you in case you felt like changing.
No need to fret, good citizen! I assure you the grammar is correct. Signed, Your friendly neighborhood English teacher

+1!
Re: Battleship attack!
Poor Willie! Gotta love it tho!
Re: Starving Hippo
So I thought this was just a hippo eating some marbles, never noticing in the thumbnail that they were oblong. Glad I look at the comp, because this is hilarious. Love the expression on the ostrich.
What!!?? This little and famous boat its under attack! Its my first derby, hope you like it!
Re: Fair Trade
I have to have this! Most awesome!
Re: The Final Stand
If this does not win I will be very upset.
It's always fun to see new artists submit cool designs like this one. GMV+ Cool concept.
Re: Add Cat
Ha ha that's funny! Just put the cat on the board and you'll have pieces flying everywhere in no time ^^ my cat loves to sit right on my hands while I'm typing. never had one sit on a board came but this is a funny Idea.
fishbiscuit5 wrote:No need to fret, good citizen! I assure you the grammar is correct. Signed, Your friendly neighborhood English teacher
Alright I sit corrected! I guess "lots" was throwing me off this morning, tricking me into thinking it takes singular forms, like "everything" or "much" do. =P (Not quite sure why, I'll blame being stuck at work on a miserable Friday!)
orabbit wrote:I thought I made sure that the logo and font were different enough. I guess they aren't?
It's not the font, it's the name "Atari"...
Re: When Life Gives You Plums...
Yeah, I need this.
Oh, yeah! My favorite board game duo is at it again. Must own this one too.
Re: Got Any Wood?
I love that game! didn't get the reference til I read another comment though.
Poor Willie! Gotta love it tho! Just wondering, is that 1 hit gonna take the poor little guy out?
For those who don't know, atari means that a piece is in danger of being captured, like the white piece in my design. It means "hit" in Japanese. All vector, hand lettered. Thanks for looking!
I wish this was a real board game. I love the shirt!
