Personally, I'm a fan of hearing aids, but you can't expect them to be as much of a cure as say glasses, they are a completely different thing. There are tons and tons of hearing aid options now depending on what exactly will help, it's not all just amplification anymore. Find a place that will let you come back for adjustments as often as needed and has the time to talk with you about the hearing aids, that makes a world of difference. I also recommend talking to Orc. Although if you PM him here I may need to tell him to check

they work better together, but some people do get just one, especially if they aren't used to the way things sound through them.

I've been the same way for 10 yrs.

Well the birthday crap just arrived. I have no idea how much of it actually got here, but it there is or was anything small in there it probably fell out a long time ago! The bottom of the box doesn't even connect, nor is it taped. I'm surprised it even got delivered.

I'm not opening it until Orc gets home, but there is a filthy maroon cloth (probably a shirt) and a purple sunflower grocery bag.
