That book has a wireframe tardis, not an impossible box, MC Escher inspired creation.

I could only love this design more if it were called "impossible box", btw.

PLEASE fix this problem with the unflattering shirts so I can resume collection of awesomeness!!!

I did go ahead and buy the shirt because I read all the comments about it being printed on an American Apparel shirt instead of the new ones they switched to. I love the way American Apparel fits, but the new shirts fit terribly. I wouldn't have bought it had I not read the AA comments. But yeah, if I'm going to spend this kind of money on a t-shirt, I want it to fit. The Anvil ones are way too loose around the middle, I won't be buying them unless I really love the design because I shouldn't have to alter a shirt I'm spending $12-15 on.

That's my problem. The Anvil ones fit more squarely on me, which means if I get a shirt that fits around the hips (I'm short and the t-shirts are long), then I'm wearing a shirt for two around my middle.

There was an episode of Dr. Who featuring a Penrose Staircase. I can't exactly recall if it was the Fifth Dr. or the Fourth.

*ahem* Implying those of us who have seen every episode since the beginning of Pertwee, read a number of the New Adventures, and follow the audio series are somehow "impure" as fans?

You're free to like the parts you like, but purists =/= blocking out half the available material. My favorite eloquent essay on the subject: "[Doctor Who] doesn’t now have, and probably never did have, a canon.".

I think that the reference is more to Eccleston being the first Doctor for those who started watching it in the newer series.

I didn't even see Bad Wolf at first! Must... resist...

Well, no, the reference is that Eccleston said he's never going to take up the role again, for any reason.

Tennant spent his whole life trying to be on Doctor Who and is even married to the 5th Doctor's daughter, he'll probably be there any time they ask him to show up.

Havent actually had the chance to buy any of the Doctor who shirts yet, because I wasn't an active wooter until recently, and I'd be very glad to make this my first one, especially with how attached I am to my Questionable Table now.

AND it's still on AA! If i can afford it, I'm sold!

Today, what I know about "Dr. Who" can be summed up as: "It apparently involves a blue telephone box that functions as a time machine and it shows up on shirts." I like this shirt because of the artistic references and interest.

If someone points at it and says, "Tardis!", I'll respond, "Who?" And then they'll say, "Yes, Dr. Who!" and I'll respond, "What?" And they'll say, "Tardis! Dr. Who! The show!" and I'll shrug and say, "I don't know..." They'll say, "I'd never wear a shirt whose reference I didn't understand," and I'll say, "Why?!?!" and they'll say, "Why do you?" and I'll say, "Eh, because."

1) It's not a telephone box. It's a Police Call Box

2) It's is not a booth that functions as a Time Machine. It is a T.A.R.D.I.S.

And here I was thinking I'd make it out of this week without a new shirt... You had to go and do a Escher/Doctor Who mash up.

So I'm in for one and when my son comes home he'll be in for one as well I'm sure of it.

Thank you for removing a little more of my cash for this bit of awesome.

Now I have to go say "I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry" to my husband.

How about we stop whining over the actors who left and focus on the fact that they're all the Doctor? Each incarnation is the same character. Yes, they have different personality traits, quirks, looks, etc, but they're all the Doctor.

Nope. And if you talk to anyone who would rather correct your use of the phrase "phone booth" than have a conversation about time travel, you have my blessing as a True Fan to yell "LOOOORD NI-I-I-I-IMON"* at them until they go away.

* You will be invoking an episode so maligned that a Who drinking game I read once defined the rules for that episode as Drink continuously until "Lord Nimon!" seems like good acting.

I think this will pair rather nicely with this years Dr Who panel.

Shall I buy one to give Matt Smith in case I get an autograph?

Hmm.....Designer Adam, if I buy a shirt & do perhaps acquire a picture of the awesome 11th doctor holding your shirt design, can we make a deal?

Am I the only one who buys shirts and puts them away "for later"? I can think of a few that are always in my closet (if they're not on me or in the laundry basket), but most rotate in and out.
