I'm thinking we should try some advanced analysis since we have 3 time points, and the close in about 20 minutes. See if we can reverse engineer better starting numbers.

the ones you have that are better than mine are the 3 that failed to open for me, you'll notice they have 11:48 Time stamps, where the rest are 11:37.

I'm reminded of that post from about a few days back where the Evil Overlards [sup]TM[/sup] are looking for ways to chase off the old guard and destroy the Woot. @$#%$@# with our numbers by swapping the Woot-off time is a solid way to do that!

Yup. I believe him that he pulled them within a minute of the sale starting; they're all lower than either of ours; and they're about in line with what I would expect when I compared them to narfcake's numbers from midnight, given that one would expect lower-than-normal sales between the start of a woot-off and lunchtime on the first day: regulars waiting for the possibility of a sale. Narf can decide what he wants to use, but I think ramy's numbers are probably very close.

I'm going to edit my post above with revised numbers.

Anyone reading this conversation between the two of us must be convinced that we're utterly insane. Heck, at this point, I'm convinced that we're utterly insane! We should collaborate on a study in RL one of these days.

Someone in the break room just nuked a plate of Fajita. I can SMELL that seasoned onion and peppers taunting me. Soooo hungry....

I knew mine were going to end up pre-adjustment, but I think at this point we leave it be. There's plenty of time to hash over which way things should have gone in two weeks when the minor variations start showing through. Need to go back and adjust my "Relative Shirt Rankings" Table to un-include the Woot-off numbers now. If it looks good tonight I may post it after the 'midnight' narf numbers.

I'm here for the entertainment value of this thread anyways (and numbers), and there's nothing more entertaining than pseudo-insanity.

So not only are no new shirts appearing on AA for men's sizes, but three of the last four men's AA blanks are flirting with the Danger Zone. Ok, so Spelling Bee is going steady, but the raven and the artichoke are cozying up to the bar. Only 1971 seems to be keeping its options open so far.

I'm surprised When Knight Falls debuts in the danger zone. Such a cute idea, and well-executed!

It's not doing Poorly, but this has been a really good week all around. I think it's Woot-off numbers show the story, it sold, but less than anything else. That's how you get into the danger zone, sell less than everyone else.

In retrospect, that was hilarious. Narfcake posting links to the stats right after the sale began? Bounty and I tripping over each other to shout, "WHEN DID IT START?!?"? Inspired by woot clue and the final piece of data gathering prior to number analysis, here's a guessing game for the numbers-watchers: Since the price increase on January 16, 2012, guess:

- Which three artists had the most prints? For extra credit, how many prints did each have?

- How many artists had two or more prints?

- How many artists had three or more prints?

Prize: cookies! Um, if you want real cookies, I'll make you some, but gif cookies will be less likely to crumble in the mail; your choice.

Turns out woot included a number of shirts currently in the Reckoning in order to expedite the transition from AA to Anvil: so if they had a handful of Yggdrasil Tree shirts in MXL, for example, but were out of Yggdrasil Tree in ML and MM, the MXLs on AA made it into the Randoms.
