By the time the randoms show up around here, the shirts are likely to have been reckoned.

Are we finally going to be rid of the Spelling Bee? What can I say, that shirt annoys me. Mostly because of the watching various submissions get rejected for being too similar to an existing shirt, and yet they were not as similar as that daily is to ones avilable elsewhere.

- How many artists had two or more prints?

- How many artists had three or more prints?

1. I'm going with ramy, patrick, and walmazan.
2. Uh... eight?
3. Hmm... five!

And yeah, what's this about ramy's 13-foot long USPS receipt? I assume this has something to do with Teeturtle?

It's also odd to see a text only design here too – almost jarring really. I don't like the shirt because when I see a spelling mistake my first instinct is to fix it, which would be difficult in this case.

Speaking of, I did fix the misspelling of "available" in the quote field.

Yeah, so there's that...

I've thought about this a lot, mainly because of cheesesandwitch's One Cheer for Broccolli, and I've arrived at this conclusion: Time matters.

If I submit a Daily they can send it over to legal, run it through it's paces, pull some data and review it. They ask if you used any art, and they're willing to licence it if it's not to expensive. Etc. All this takes time, but since we've seen Dailies take 2 months or more, they've got the time.

If I submit a Derby, they've got 24 hours. Even if we're going to be cynical and say "The top 3 on Monday always win." They've still gots 3 days tops. That's not enough time to do the due dilligence they need for shirts with other people's art, that may be to similar, that need a consult from legal. So rather than take a chance, they drop the hammer there.

That's your trade off though, Instant Gratification vs. More Artistic Licence.

*snickers* I keep hitting the caps lock instead of the A, sometimes I just delete the capitalized letters and forget all about the A not being there. And sometimes, I don't bother proofing before posting... Actually the second one happens quite a bit as I am squeezing posts in between tech calls.

Spelling Bee moves to Anvil (all sizes)

So the only shirts left in men's sizes on AA are Nevermore, Artichokey, and 1971 (as well as the v-necks in the side sale).

Congrats on med school, good luck and best wishes on that! Hopefully you'll still have time to drop a design into a derby or two.

Those post office employees may have groused, but you undoubtedly dropped a chunk of change into their meager profit bucket. 13-foot receipt... wow.

So if it spreads its wings and flies back up the chart it had nothing to do with it being mentionned?

Yesterday I had to walk to the store and was feeling a little icky (apartment is hot as I can't open a window due to balcony construction) so I decided to wear a looser tee. I took off the AA WXL I was wearing (one size larger than I normally wear in AA) and put on an Anvil WM. I thought to myself that there was something wrong about that...

The Anvil I wore was The Race. For some reason I ordered WM instead of the MS. I do love that print, if not the Anvil tee it came on.

RamyB M.D. has an smooth ring to it. Sounds like the premise for a TV medical drama about a doctor who funds his life-saving research through t-shirt sales.

Personally, I had you pegged as more of a veterinarian, since you seem more familiar with cats, turtles, rabbits, squirrels, etc.

Yeah, so there's that...

Okay, my head is spinning, right 'round baby, right 'round.

Nevermore moves to Anvil in men's and kids' sizes, now printing all on Anvil.
Artichokey moves to Anvil in men's sizes; still printing on AA in kids' sizes.
Also, thanks to ApeLad, I have finally learned to spell "artichoke." It took six weeks.

Secret Love is printing on AA in men's and women's sizes?!?!?!?!?!?

OTOH, Wootbot blogged "Then come check out what we've got cookin' Sunday morning."

Today's shirt is definitely a twist ... back in the right direction. I think. My wallet may hurt again.

I hope the order of Nevermore (in exchange for a trade) will arrive on AA as it was advertised on Tuesday.

Just an FYI, but the "Condition" for Nevermore is listed as "Remixed" now...

Curiouser and curiouser! (Hmm, it looks like woot forgot to adjust the "design size" when men's sizes flipped over today...)

I think it's a site redesign of some sort. I was thinking maybe the addition of a shopping cart or something originally, then the woot.com poll changed last night to a question about website redesigns... (And I just noticed the poll today is yet ANOTHER redesign question...)

As for trivia...

1. I think the other guys might have it right-- RamyB, Walmazan, and PatrickSpens. The only one I'm not really certain about would be Patrick, honestly-- if the other two aren't right, I will need my jaw-picker-upper.

2. 10...ish

3. I think one of the guys might have it right, but in the interest of not sharing all the answers (and thus, cookies) I'll go with 3.

Trade with me on TeeTrade!

Ramyb, Patrickspens, and Walmazan had the most. I think they were all somewhere between 8 and 10

My guess is that 13 two or more (I just like that number)

I think 8 had more than three prints.

Well, my answer to #1 isn't very interesting...

All wild guesses:

1. PatricksPens, RamyB, Walmazan.

2. Seven.

3. Three.

Nevermore on Anvil and "remixed"... the derby winner printing on AA green blanks for adults... rumors of downtime and redesign... only two derby winners printing... Seki reprinting, cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria!

Haven't seen one yet, but the day is young.

Odd, formerly thought to be impossible, things might be starting to happen on the reckoning. The dirction currently being moved in is down (is that vague enough).

And does anyone remember which blanks Critical Hit debuted on for men and kids?

Wow! Congratulations! That's a really big deal and I suspect that "only going to get worse" is the understatement of the year. I hope things are running more smoothly now with TeeTurtle and that it's a well-oiled machine by the time that you start school.

1. PatrickSpen, Ramyb, and BootsBoots. Just for kicks.

Hey Guys, over on teh Derby side we've got 2 RamyB's in the fog, and another climbing quickly. Has 1 artist ever won twice in the same Derby?

There does seem to be a lot of movement from 17 to 21 or so. Hope this trend continues through Monday. Don't care who gets knocked out at the end. We just need some excitement for Memorial Day.

Likewise with Walmazan. This has been a top artist-dominated derby so far.

Yeah, so there's that...

Ramy definitely has, and I know there was a duo of DoOomcat designs in a double-take derby.

And then there were the puffaluffs ...

It looks like the Tyger vs. the Raven for those of you craving a bit of Memorial day excitement. I already own a few copies of the bird, so I don't know if I can help do a last ditch save on it.

Will anyone out there help save the bird? I fear for it being up against a Ramyb shirt.

I'm curious to see what they're doing tomorrow.

Artichokey/Tyger/The Bird are in a dead heat right now, and if the site is down all day, that will have an impact.

I think those are back - but did they get rid of the sales numbers?!?

Several, but not all, of the side sale shirts are on AA.
