I opted for the different design = different shirt aspect so my count doesn't look as scary; otherwise I'd be well past the one-shirt-for-everyday-of-the-year mark already. So at 325 (give or take), I still have a goal.

This would be funnier if it was on a pair of shorts.

I though I didnt get it. But it turns out I did but I dismissed my initial comedic instincts, because it simply wasnt funny. Well to the artists credit, the visual pun is authentic and it is a black shirt, so there is some upside here.

I assumed it was some reference to Bard's Tale or some other ancient fantasy game. And still 1000 times better then that Bazinga shirt of late.

The shirt is....ehhh...ok. However the description of the artist is great!

See, that's where my mind was and I didn't think Woot did that kind of humor.

I am well past the one-shirt-for-every-day-of-the-year mark, and I have no duplicates. Granted only a small number come from this site, I haven't been around that long. Fortunately for my closet, I am pickier with Anvil than I would be with AA blanks.

I also thought I just didn't get it and had an under developed sense of humor.
Apparently, to some of us, this is just not even remotely funny.

I like the Bazinga shirt better, but that isn't saying much.

i would go out of my way to make sure and never be friends with anyone wearing this shirt.

Ok. I admit... I don't get it. Surely there's more to this joke than the fact that the loading bar looks like a magic wand. That's not funny at all.

quality posts: 8 Private Messages CharlesBurns

magic_wand.jpg should be a PNG or GIF.
Its large areas of flat color are much more efficiently compressed with those than with JPEG, and the result will look better, too (no scrambled looking colors in high-contrast areas).

Add me to the group of people who didn't get it, then got it [too many] moments later, then facepalmed. It's like a pun to the gut.

I like it a lot though for that reason. I'll admit for the people who aren't finding this funny that the joke is pretty... how to avoid woot censors here... simple. But simple jokes can be all right. You just have to be ready to say "wah wah wahhh" every time someone looks at your shirt and says with an exasperated sigh, "oh, I get it."

I'm on the fence about whether I am ready for that, but a jumbowoot coupon may convince me to buy this shirt.

So are you suggesting the joke is an innuendo of sorts?

I kind of find myself hoping that there's a hidden or in joke that I can't find...

Either way, add me to the list that either don't get it or don't see why it sort of resembling a magic wand is funny.

*snickers* Well, as buying from woot means I am already outsourcing my tees, parts of the switch to Anvil didn't bother me as much (still like the softer AAs better).

I've read through all the comments, and am still not sure.... I get that it shows something that looks like a wand while waiting for a wand image to load; maybe I spend way too much time waiting for things to load up on computers to find humour in things waiting to load.

Hahahaha, I literally just burst out laughing at this. Took me forever, and looking for someone to explain it in the comments, luckily I didn't see the picture someone posted and got it on my own. Love the subtleness, in 4 1!

It took me an embarrassingly long time to get this. Granted, for most of the day I didn't realize there was anything to get. I think I would have liked it better if it wasn't on a black shirt.

Yeah, so there's that...

I feel like I must not be getting the joke if most of you all think this is hilarious.

loading bar looks like a magic wand right? haha? really? This screams early internet era humor.

That's more derrek1280, I think. I'm just admitting that the joke is dead simple. You see progress bar. You realize it's a wand. You laugh (or you don't).

Woot just wouldn't let me use a word more empathetically deprecating to describe the simplicity.

Wow. A lot of people are being big jerks about this shirt. If you don't like the joke, people, don't buy it. No need to insult the creator, and indirectly disparage everyone who does happen to like the shirt.

Woot can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time, folks.

I, for one, am relieved that not every shirt appeals to my tastes or interests. I would have an even bigger shirt.woot debt every month, and I'm already spending a pretty ridiculous amount as it is. In just a few months I've already joined that club of people who could wear a woot shirt every day for over a month and still not run out of shirts.

I've worn this in a few places and a few people have asked me to explain it to them, usually just saying "what does it look like?" is a good enough hint to figure out one or the other.

Of course, not everyone gets it even if you do explain...
