overshadowed by her husband, Zelda Fitzgerald was herself a fine
novelist. This shirt is designed to honor her memory through the
symbolic representation of the many facets of her far-too-short life.
The bottle represents the alcoholism that strained her marriage, and
the sword the strength that kept her fighting, even when admitted to a
sanatorium. The gems refer to that happier time known as “the Jazz Age”
when she was young and famous, while the bomb her sense of drama, which
only added to her self-destructiveness. And finally, the hearts imply
the love she shared with… what? Really? And it was for Nintendo?
