Derby #43: Slogans
You know all those pithy mottoes, catchphrases, one-liners, and proverbs you've always wanted to put on a shirt, but were thwarted by our frequent prohibitions of text? Well, now's the time to flex your wordsmithery with a slogan t-shirt. By "slogan", we mean a short, memorable phrase - probably not a single word, and definitely not anything longer than a sentence. We know it when we see it, and if we don't see it in your design, brace yourself for rejecteration. Other rules:
Your design must feature text and only text. No illustrations or other design elements are allowed. Your typeface choices can be as creative as you want, including hand-lettered text, but everything in your design must be part of the text forming your phrase.
You can only use two ink colors. Because how many do you really need for a slogan shirt?
No shirts endorsing a specific political party, movement, or candidate. There are already plenty of sources for Barack Obama and Ron Paul t-shirts.
And finally...no slogans that have ever been printed on another t-shirt, or that even come close, in keeping with our usual prohibition against stealing other people's ideas. If you see a shirt entry that has been printed elsewhere, please feel free to tattle.
P.S. You should check out our new shirt templates and our fix for the recent, alleged voting manipulation.
