But despite the *amazing* skill - this shirt scares me and would give me horrible nightmares. Sorry.

I simply do NOT understand how people can say a shirt would give them nightmares. What are you girls, babies? There is nothing scary about this design at all. NOTHING!

Anyone who says it is scary is nothing more than a big ole wuss

well, i've had a recurring nightmare where i'm being chased by the fonz and he's yelling at me to check out his tattoo. one time i turned around to look at his tattoo and he started to take off his shirt, and thankfully, i woke up. it's really scary. so, this shirt terrifies me. but i'd still wear it.

I am a wuss, a girl, and a baby. Also I am kind of a scaredy cat.

And... I am terrified of moose mutants. Look at those horns, man- they are for VIOLENCE. And the thumbs up is a blatantly aggressive action, like thumbs up yours too, buddy! He even has a leather jacket, just like those criminals on the tv.

In conclusion: this shirt is a menace, and must be stopped.

Question - was http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1935316992/tt0070992 the inspiration for the Fonz before moosification?

Just trying to gain an insight on what these artist use as the base for their drawings, especially one such as that great entry.

That's an impressive admission for a 20 year old guy. I'm proud of you, Robert.

My advice: do not move to Australia. At least, not bush Australia. Melbourne was okay--it was too cold for us to get spiders, really.

Hey...why was my comment removed? I have a Cho and a Jimiyo shirt that I adore, wait, two, Cho shirts.

I am not entitled to be frighted by Fonzie flashbacks? Will my stevadore hook be straightened from fear? Unlikely.

I don't get the moderation...but the point is, this particular collaboration isn't flying up my flagpole for a couple reasons: Fonzie is just scary and I have moose locally who are also rather larger than my rather large equine. The combo scares me.

Where's my diaper....

Didn't mean to cause any drama...whatever that was...but I am not entitled to comment on the way I feel about the shirt?

In a system where honest critiques gets 20 people to jump on your back, where a misunderstanding of the rules gets 30 comments that say the same thing, where "popular" status loses you more votes then it gets you, where talent is asked to sit on the sidelines so everyone can get a shot at the lime light, and where most people can vote more than once, passive agressiveness is our only acceptable outlet for derby angst.

The parts that bug me the most are

"where talent is asked to sit on the sidelines so everyone can get a shot at the lime light, and where most people can vote more than once"

I do not know which is more shameful than the other.

I think Blu is referring to the fact that when people like Cho and Gentry are getting votes, often posters chime in that the only reason they are getting votes is because they are popular. Sometimes there's a bit of a pile-on and the vote totals either freeze or start to tumble.

I think it's more about supposed popularity than actual popularity- at this point, I think most of us forum people know that the voters are an unpredictable, fickle mass who mostly don't read the comments or the forums. You can go from being a winner to being lucky to hit 100 votes in a matter of a week, that wuz teh funneh. Derby magic!

Then there are the people, like myself, who don't have extra accounts, but do have mommies who will always give us a vote (if I ask really nice and cook her dinner). I wouldn't give up just yet, Jimiyo. There's a possibility that one or more of the shirts in front of Fonzie-moose will be rejected for one reason or another... you could be right up in the fog again as soon as the screening process starts.

I'd rather make fun of the people who aren't voting for it. It's clearly the best entry in the derby. Some people claim name recognition gets you votes, but I think if anything it can keep people from voting sometimes. If an relatively unknown person entered this it would be a runaway winner. Nice work anyways guys.

Not always- RobGlenn's Hidden Message Day was rejected twice and still got printed. Some fogged entries can survive it, and this should have been early enough to be in that category. It's too bad that the votes aren't lining up, tho.

Robglen is a law unto himself ;-).

You're right in that some fogged entries do survive resubmission, but most do not (i speak from some pretty extensive experience on this one ;-) I guarantee you that this shirt would be ranked higher if it had not been resubmitted.

Then again, i'm sure the fifty whiny posts cluttering up the board on the first iteration probably were not helping things.

In any case, at least two shirts above this one should be gone in the long-awaited rejectoration storm, so it ain't over yet.

I saw this at work when it first posted and it cracked me up, still does. I wish this was doing better, I actually want to get it to hang on my wall

Another celebrity sighting of this shirt. Photographed while the couple were on vacation in the Philippines.

Some people claim name recognition gets you votes, but I think if anything it can keep people from voting sometimes. If an relatively unknown person entered this it would be a runaway winner. Nice work anyways guys.

By far the best piece in the derby. Only shirt besides Derek's that i would wear.

Well there is always next year....

Bluchez, you are art smart.

I like that you have put our shadows on the ground, and where the cast shadow of my head is.

While it's pretty big, I can really dig it! I really appreciate something original in a Derby like this one that seems to be awash with different spins on the same two-three ideas...

GMV!
