Cool idea and I like the text. Is the bear a bit distorted? He looks too tall and pulls the set a bit out of proportion, imho.

I like the National Geographic-ness of this picture! Excellent idea and execution.

Thanks! The bear is much larger because when they're standing on their hind legs, generally they are just that much bigger than any other animal up there. I suppose I could have made a larger than average caribou to balance it out, but I wanted to stay close to average relative heights.
What really surprised me is how big the Canada Goose is!

Re: Wild animals of Canada
This is probably my favorite design so far in this derby. It's different and intelligent and aesthetically appealing (good choice with the small text).
Re: Wild animals of Canada
I appreciate that you are calling it the Canada goose as opposed to the Canadian goose (which is not its name). I once heard a rumor that Canadian geese are not named for the country but instead for a naturalist of the same name. Can anyone confirm or deny that? Wikipedia says no but I have little faith in it.

Where is the blue hare?

Sorry
I could only fit so many on without it feeling cluttered. There were lots to choose from!

I was just kidding for the sake of my blue hare. I love the design!

Yeah, as artulo already stated, the bear is just that much bigger when standing. It also would've been neat to see the wingspan of the Canada goose, (while no albatross, it'd be fairly impressive) but I definately see that it doesn't fit the design.
My only minor gripe is the numbering trend... why didn't you flip the goose and caribou to continue the swapping sides numbering?
GMV regardless!

Wow, thanks for your vote and support with the image graphic! I hadn't even thought about the even/odd numberings until you mentioned it! I just put them in order on height and what I considered a good arrangement. The only other thing was the colors are somewhat related to relative danger to people, should you happen to run into one.

Oh, that's great with the colors! I hadn't picked up on it, but so very useful, um, should I... um, encounter any of... those... animals. lolol
But seriously, I do like it even more now!
Come on people, VOTE!
You left out Don Cherry! ha ha
Re: Wild animals of Canada
I don't think the bear is wrong, in fact I think it's about right. But if that's a normal sized caribou, then that's the biggest goose on the planet. Something's definitely wrong there. I think everything else is right in relation to the goose, but the caribou (and the bear to match) should be MUCH bigger.

Also you could lose the words "from the ground" - it's redundant. The only reason I'm so picky is I really like the idea, the concept, but the result so far isn't something I'd spend money on ...yet.

I thought it was odd that the goose should be that big as well, but (and I know Wikipedia isn't 100% right) according to it: "This species is 76-110 cm (30-43 in) long with a 127-180 cm (50-71 in) wing span."
I'll agree that the goose is rather large, though ![]()

Tell you what, if this gets printed I'll make the text change, as well as adjust the animal heights in the print ready file. Your suggestions are sound and make sense to me.
