Re: Big-Eyed Owl Says Hoot

Cute and whimsical big-eyed owl. The owl is made up of letters in the words Hoot and Owl. The "H" is on the left wing (screen left). The eyes make up the two "O's" in hoot and the crown is the "T". The belly makes up the "O" in Owl, the beak makes the "L" and the right wing makes the "W". The claws are made with the words OWL placed upside down.

Thank you! Everyone is always pretty good about spotting problems that might lead to rejection, so I'm glad I hollowed out the letters....just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for everybody's help!

Thanks for the comment PalmettoGirl.

And, Carina...I bet it's the contrast of the brown and the green. Funny. I hadn't thought of that, but the green is definitely their color, right?

And if you read it from right to left, you can read "Woot"

Oh NO! I swear that wasn't on purpose. Owls Hoot. My daughter and I love owls. This design was done for her entertainment. The letters worked well for the overall shape. The backwards spelling of woot is entirely coincidental. There is absolutely no woot-related reference in this design even if the four letters can be found to spell out the website name. I'm sure other designs will have w-o-o and t.

Gotta Thank You guys ... especially Mihalis ... for the tshirt color. It was originally on orange, but I'm really liking the green with the brown now. Especially after I hollowed out the eyes and tummy.

I loves it. I have to admit that when my shirts are doing half-way well, I usually don't vote for anything ahead of me, in the off-chance that I'd kick myself out of the fog. What can I say? I'm hopeful. But this has a vote, despite being one place ahead of my own, because I waaaaaaaant it.

I'm sure it's forgiveable.

Now I'm thinking about the phrase "too hot to hoot." Palindromes ftw!

I wonder if a palindrome submission would have done well...

Too hot to hoot are all in there too!

Love your <3 entry BTW! I have to admit, I didn't realize that <3 = heart emoticon. I figured it was a 'less than value' and 3 was a play o the letter 'e'. So the less than value could be shorted to (LV) and the 3 represented a backwards curvy 'e' for LV3 or a cute way of saying LOVE. Now I know better....
