Re: 1982: Thriller 2

The enthusiasm for the "Thriller Shirt" has been incredible, but some have asked for a more subtle design. I present to you "Thriller 2" — and I'm 'thrilled' with the new design!

This shirt has been redesigned to include smaller "Zombie Michael Jacksons" arranged in two rows across the chest.

Thanks to everyone for the great support and feedback. I debated doing this redesign, weighing the effect it might have on the original entry, but I really just wanted to offer the best possible shirt for everyone... so once again, thank you!

Please help me to get the word out if you're pumped about the new design!

Might wanna axe the "2" in the 240x240, woot doesn't take kindly to gradients

The "2" in the 240x240 preview just signifies that this is the 2nd version of the Thriller shirt (much in the same way some people put "CLICK FOR DETAIL" etc.) -- the shirt design itself has no gradients at all. Please clue me in if I'm missing something, and thanks for the comment!

You need to look at the shirt and not the preview as the "2" wouldn't get printed on the shirt if this were to be among the top 3.

When people have replaced the shirt color with a gradient, woot has been quick to reject since others started complaining that it gave the shirt the advantage of standing out among the detail images. Your "2" did as intended for me, signifying a second submission, and used as others use "click here", so I'd hope you'd be fine. Woot's call as always. But I for one think you're crazy for taking the chance on splitting the vote when the other is already in the fog! Time will tell....

I knew it would be risky, but with strong submissions climbing the ranks, I wanted my shirt to be the best it could be. Hopefully the vote won't be split and the enthusiasm will carry over to both shirts. Again, thanks to everyone for the support.

Re: 1982: Thriller 2

I loved the concept of the first one, but the design was too big for me so I left it alone. This one is perfect, and the first shirt I would buy three of I've seen on woot; I have friends who would love this so much. GMV!

yeah...still a decent idea poorly executed. not sure how taking big incomprehensible things and making them smaller is supposed to be an improvement...just makes them even more incomprehensible. anyone unfortunate enough to own this would tire of explaining what the heck it is over and over and over....

plus it's michael jackson the famous child ______ you can add the rest. he also befriended paul , and sought advice on what to invest in ...then stole the beatles music. to keep his pockets lined.I would never buy this(and if I seen it ,I'd burn it) truely the devil itself.IMO

Took my vote back. Stop advertising your shirt in other people's threads. It's buttery croissant.

Everyone seems to have a vote badge in the signature. Just trying to give props to the artists I was in the fog with and also campaign, as Woot suggests in the derby FAQ. I don't think it was out of line, but thanks for offering your opinion and best of luck to you!

If you want a sig then you need to click on the "your account" tab and enter the code for that stuff into the box at the bottom.
