Re: Sail Away with Me

Sail away with me. The curvature of the sails and tilt of the boat let you know that the wind is out and ready for some fun. Additional motion shown in the spray and waves of the water.

A great shirt for summer. Thank you for your vote!

love it. simply love it. You have great range! This is beautiful sailboat art, and your other entry is more cartoony. Yet both of them capture motion beautifully.

gmv, and this is a design I could see my step-dad or other sailing guys wearing, unlike cartoony sailboats!

& the Gaggle of Girls; so many shirts, so little space in the dresser!

Thanks Mia! Thank you also for your advice on the sails and the water. I've no knowledge about sailing, but I do appreciate their aesthetics when they are on the water. Lake Erie was gorgeous yesterday and served for great inspiration. I can hardly wait until all the sailboats are on the Lake. Probably just a few weeks now that it's starting to warm up a little.

I like this. It's classy. Would def. get one. Reminds me of the old Hobie line of clothing and some of the classic Ocean Pacific. Does that show my age?

Thanks Guys! I agree with the O.P. look. It does remind me of some of the old surfer designs you'd see in the late 70s and early 80s. I loved those. But then I also had Dolphin shorts.

you're welcome! I'm glad all the years spent sailing were useful for something other than a suntan and wind-burn. We sail on the ocean here, no lakes. I'm really impressed at the level of detail on your boat and water if you aren't a sailor. very nice.

I'm looking forward to sailing this summer. Finally the kids are old enough not to end up falling overboard! The girls helped my dad with his boat Friday, so boat time is coming soon!

I put my 16' Hobie in the lake this past weekend. Just need the water to warm up now.

Very cool shirt. If it was a Hobie Cat then I would vote for it (I have too many sailing shirts already though).

I would definitely wear this shirt. Great colors, and the artwork is wonderful, of course. (I did vote for it under my other name - they still haven't switched me to this one.)

gah! this is awesome... just a serene daysail on the bay or wherever :-D (obviously gmv!)
I've been slowly working on a boat one, but it's a trimaran with some wicked wake behind it from it's speed, oh and a wakeboarder (yes, it's actually been done in real life!)
anyway, working on my 7 year-old laptop is not helping my gaining experience... but hope to enter eventually this week just to finally get one under my belt!

Hmm, just went in for 3 Randoms, when I haven't bought any shirts lately (although still checking frequently) so what are the chances of liking them!?! Oh well, couldn't pass up the mystery!
...a number of shirts on teetrade.com

It's hard not to like kls's work.
Looking forward to see what you submit. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments everybody. This entry was made for you sailstud! Looking forward to seeing your entry.

MJC- Thanks for the nice words. I appreciate it!

Webfoot - I know someone else asked woot to combine accounts. I think it was Josephus. Don't know if it was a big hassle, or if it was done right away. In any event, I appreciate your vote under your other name.

PStan - Which Lake? Are you sailing on Lake Erie? If so, be sure to stop by Kelleys Island. You'll love it!

Thanks, I probably need to move some files off that computer because it is seriously slow and I lose patience. I hope I'm able to get it to something satisfactory before the cut-off. I am enjoying my new auxilary tablet though

My boat stay on an inland lake near Jackson MI. But It makes it out to the great lakes on occasion. We sailed out to Mackinaw once which was a blast. The wind is insane on a Hobie cat through that area. If I get it down to Erie this summer I will be sure to hit up Kellys island. Thanks for the heads up.
