Celebrate her motherly nature with nature acting motherly. On yellow with bright floral edging.

what a beautiful way to combine the two. I don't usually like yellow shirts, but would make an exception for this one.

Thanks for the comments. The Hallmark one made me smile. I'll take that as a compliment. I learned recently that Hallmark is now having card design contests too. Seems like submitting designs for popular vote is now the business model of choice for a lot of businesses.

Thanks for the early votes!

Thanks JBedWar! You'll have to get at least one shirt for your new baby's Mother. This will be her first Mother's Day, right? So you'll have to make it extra-special for her.

Thanks Heartluce for your comments too! I haven't 'seen' you around lately. Glad to see your post.

gawgeous, simply gawgeous.

As with your other design, this would be great to wear, and great as a decoration for the non-tshirt moms/grandmoms/great-grandmoms. I'm glad it was inspired by you, your daughter, and your mom. as a mom of daughters, that's special to me, too.

& the Gaggle of Girls; so many shirts, so little space in the dresser!

Originally, I was going to have my mom, my daughter and me as the motherly faces and child. Don't know if you saw this link to the original idea. I never submitted it. I figured folks wouldn't want to sport real faces on their chest, so i changed it to a more stylized generic sketch. Probably a wise choice.

Thanks guys! It's fun to be in the fog on Friday, but I haven't seen this one in the hotness, so I suspect the thrill ride will be short-lived. I appreciate the kind comments....I was a little nervous about submitting a design on yellow. Sometimes they don't fare too well.

yep, I remember. it's part of why I like the design. I think the generic sketch works better, but I hope you gave a copy of the other to your mom!

So happy to see you in the fog, and with a design I'd love to own! Oldest wore Koi to the park today, with many nice comments.

K, I am growing in anticipation of having this as my second KLS shirt! Woohoo! It's so fun to see such a pretty, pretty design and know it might actually get printed and show up at my door! That's what makes this site so fun, yes?

I'm pulling for the cubist one, but this one has my vote too. I'm not a mother, but I would still wear it simply because the artwork is whimsical and pretty. I like the color of the shirt, also. Not enough yellow shirts printed around here.

Thanks! I agree...the lemon yellow shirts are really pretty in person. I think they are prettier than the screen color. Would make a nice summery shirt! Thanks for your vote!

Thanks for the newest comments on this one. I haven't seen it in the hotness for a long time. So, I'm starting to worry.

But, I haven't seen any fogged entries in the hotness. Did woot change the hotness to only non-fogged entries? I know many people have been requesting it.

This is a beautiful design - original, creative, and a perfect representation of the subject. I would probably never wear this and my mom probably wouldn't either (she doesn't wear t-shirts), but I will vote for and buy this shirt because it is simply the best entry in the Derby.

Great job!

Looks like the fogged number is 387 because this one just switched places with Edgar's. I knew it was in fourth given hotness totals, but just wasn't sure of the 'magic' number.

AH! Out of the fog again. These derbies are just crazy! Tough on the ol' ticker! But wildly addictive!

Many congratulations to Edgar on entering the fog. It's well-deserved given his string of great entries. (My all-time favorite = Love Your Neighbor from the citizenship derby.)

G'night all and thanks for the votes on the yellow one and the cubist one. They are very much appreciated!

Re: Her Motherly Nature

Thanks for keeping this one in there! I know it's not the shirt for everyone, but I hope voters feel that it fits the Motherhood theme and would be a nice shirt to give a mom, sister, aunt, etc. on a special day.....maybe in place of a bouquet of flowers. You know the flowers will cost you more than $10.00.

Thanks again for the votes this week. They are greatly appreciated.

Good luck to the other fogged contenders and nearby contenders as well. See you at noon tomorrow for the new theme.

Do you think there's really a difference of only 7 votes for 3rd place? That's what it says on SDS. It shows the bridge one in 3rd and the floral yellow one behind by about 7 votes. Looks like another close vote. Just crazy how these derbies work! Ah!

Given that the theme is motherhood, I hope voters find it fits the theme well.

Thanks guys! I don't think we'll see any surprises with the derby 3 this week. I think Cwarrington's predictions are probably right based on what I saw happening with the hotness. Edgar's amoeba did get a surge right before the end, but I don't think it was enough to overtake the suicide one.

I think the Dragon took a commanding lead this week.

My ideal would have been yours, Edgar's and Radiomode or sokowa's. Yours and Edgar's were easily my favorites.
Don't care for the mass suicide design.
Been staying away from the derbies for a while. I think it may be time for another break from caring. This was far too close and far too disappointing at the very end.

Best of luck to all who got their favorites this week. I realize I am often in the minority.

Thanks for the posts! Sorry you won't be able to get it as a gift this year. I'll definitely put it in my cafepress store of past designs. (See the link in my signature...perhaps there's another design that would work for Mother's Day this year(?))
