Re: Portuguese Mom-of-war

This image is a sketch of the rarely seen Portuguese Mom-of-war. Here she is holding the tentacle of her little one, who's holding the tentacle of her little sister, and so forth...to make sure that everyone is safe as they cross the great, wide ocean together. What a wonderful Mom(-of-war)!

I like it. Clever, understated. My personal preference would be for the last little guy to be sucking a tentacle and dragging a teddy bear or dolly. Either way, I think it's one of the best designs so far! Good luck!

Ooh, great idea but than the men may not vote. Have love the purples on darks since mahalis (sorry if misspelled) fireweed design. This doesn't hit you over the head with momness which is great for us moms not wearing mom jeans.

Thank you so much ;-)

I can see the last one holding a teddy bear, too--hmmm.... Definitely some food for thought! :-)

This design isn't that feminine. Why wouldn't us guys vote for this?

Regardless if it does well in this week's contest, I'm glad that you and a handful of others appreciate this design for some of the same reasons I do ;-) This in itself is rewarding!

very different from JadenKale's jellyfish, but also very cool. I love the purple on black reminiscent of Fireweed from the Canada derby - good job!

I grew up with the cuddly kind of jellyfish (we used to toss them at each other at sailing camp), but my husband has been stung by a nasty one in Texas and doesn't understand my jellyfish love. He'd like this one, though. nice work!

& the Gaggle of Girls; so many shirts, so little space in the dresser!

I completely understand. I love jellyfish, too, and living in Florida I have sampled a variety of stings. But like you said, no matter their toxic punch, there is just something beautiful about these creatures. It's fun to hear that another jell-o-phile and not-so-jell-o-phile like the design! Makes me smile!! Thanks ;-)

My reply to the last post, where it was suggested that the last jellyfish drag a doll. It was implied by my husband, that he would not be interested with that addition.

With a teddy, the design can tip into cute--and "cute" is good and has done well before with wooters. But without the teddy, the design remains more understated and subtle. And I've thought about it, considered resubmitting, but came to the realization that I'm more interested in the simple and subtle with this one. Thanks to jmseifer for the thought, though! :-)

I agree. It's subtle, and I like that. Good color choices, too.

I would wear this shirt! Beautiful and elegant, like my fiance (she's close by so I hope she wanders over and reads this...)

Let's get a vote flood going! Iwant to buy 2!
