Re: Feeding v2
To all of the people that think this shirt is so great, do you want to see a guy wearing this, or better yet, your teenage daughter?
Breastfeeding is not offensive, but this shirt is just ridiculous.

hey hey be nice. this shirt design can be worn by males or females. dont be saying hurtful things like " its rediculous" and trying to jeopardize my small chances of winning. if u have nothing nice to say then dont say anything at all, just that simple.

..and you need to get to know Woot a little better.

I think this shirt is hilarious. If you don't like it, don't vote for it, & don't buy it.
2thFairy wrote:..and you need to get to know Woot a little better.
take it easy. it's just a t-shirt design. it's fine to not like it and say so but why be so hateful?
Re: Feeding v2
woot rejected this shirt because it had to do with breasts.. they always reject shirts about breasts... this is no different, it will get rejected.

I dunno, "mother of all" has breast representation. Is it that the focus is on the actual breasts? If breast is implied but not shown, as in this design, would that be acceptable? I know what this design is intending to show but it also kinda looks like a baby climbing up a shirt.

there is a difference between depicting a woman, and creating a shirt meant to emphasis the breasts of a woman who is wearing it. This is why woot rejects shirts with two of something in the chest region, they just don't digg it.

I'm so glad you resubmitted this. I really hope it doesn't get rejected again. I love it. Good luck- you know you have my vote!

other comments do not seem to make the same qualification...so wasn't readily apparent
"two of something" : one baby on one side though
still say that it looks more like a baby crawling up a shirt, i mean it even has wrinkle marks where the baby's hands are. so unless the shirt would have a strategically placed cut out....

I think we all know that that's not the reason why people want to buy the shirt. ^.^"
Re: Feeding v2
Breastfeeding isnt sexual and I certainly hope this does not get rejected. I know the odds of it placing are slim slim slim but I ADORE this... I would buy 3...

It's really not appropriate, to be honest. While yes, mothers breastfeed, this is not something I would wear (mother or not) and I can't possibly see a man wearing this shirt at all. And 2th Fairy is correct, seeing this on any teen girl (or younger) would be atrocious and sending the wrong message to other kids.
Joel Toon's comment was 'At least it's not completely offensive' which supposes that it's still offensive enough that it goes beyond their PG-13 rule. I'm all for mothers who breastfeed, but the shirt is not appropriate for the theme.
Re: Feeding v2
This really is a shame. For thsoe who are saying they wouldnt wear it... urm.... dont buy it? I doubt 14 year old girls would WANT to wear something like this.
I think it is awfully silly for shirts like this to get rejected when those who don't care for it simply do not have to wear it. I hope you will have this printed elsewhere because I would love my staff and staff of volunteers to have one to wear to nursing events, seminars, and breastfeeding rallys.

What exactly is a breastfeeding rally? On second thought, nm.

I think it's where teams of five women run topless with a suckling baby, passing it off to the next one until they cross the finish line.

Adder, I don't think I've actually laughed out loud due to a comment in faaaaaar too long. thank you.
As to the shirt, I do hope the designer prints it somewhere after the 60 day hold, it would be a great shirt for many moms.
(I can't help myself, I have to clarify: a breastfeeding rally is when a group of people who support breastfeeding gather in one place to show support for or protest a company's policy about breastfeeding) But I like Adder's idea.
It would definitely attract more attention!

Interesting.. thanks for the info.

I was trying to find a nice way to put "nurse-in". When a business, location, company, etc ticks off a breastfeeding mama by asking her to leave a location for nursing her baby (which is an act protected by law in most states) many mamas will stage a nurse in, where all of their breastfeeding friends go to that location simply to nurse their babies. Kind of a quiet, non-violent protest.

Hmm... I did not know that..
Thanks to you and mia3mom, I can now get some of the more obscure images out of my head. (Though they were pretty funny!!)

This gave me QUITE a laugh at work! However, I believe this is a breastfeeding Relay. Mia and My---- described breastfeeding Rallies in previous posts.
