The detail of the wood grain is very good.

Loving the textures and the tattooed wood feel on his arms. Awesome, toe! Also, I like the subtle color shift.

the idea i tried to express with this design is the first taste of independence. the sense of wonder and excitement balanced with that feeling of wobbliness and uncertainty. the fear that you might not make it tempered by the joy of freedom. it's a feeling that doesn't last forever but one hopefully you never forget.

Is it possible to reposition the scissors? It looks like the puppet is going to poke his eye out where they are now. Or is this just me, viewing it incorrectly?

i did that to illustrate the adage "don't run with scissors"... uh, yeah, that's it..

sigh, I wish this would place. I think it is not only "artistic", it is the kind of artistic that I would want to wear on a shirt.

good job and I certainly look forward to seeing more of your designs

Don't be sexist. Broads hate that.

There's still time for this to get back into the fog! Lets hope it does! Honestly, I find the other puppet one (red one) a bit creepy. The face weirds me out a bit.

thanks! so far i'm pretty happy with this design's performance. it's the first one i've done that got into the fog and the hotness at all. i'm a little disappointed it's dropped out of the top 10 (i was hoping to get one of those cool badges) but there's still time left to fix that, so we'll see.

thanks for the compliment and vote!

when i had this idea friday at work no one had posted anything about puppets, but i think even though they share common subject matter the execution and concepts they illustrate are unique. Edgar did a great job (as usual) and i have no qualms about admitting his is a great design and deserves to be where it is.

still, let's get this design back in the fog, people!

Re: no strings attached

well, it's been a wild ride this week. from soaring in the fog to dropping down to 15th place. still not a bad showing for a one color design on a white shirt. i'd like to thank everyone who left comments and praise for the little guy, he and i appreciate it very much, and i'd especially like to thank everyone who voted.
