Thanks for the comments! I wanted to keep it pretty simple like a true damask wallpaper would be, so that is why I went with one color. I will say, each pixel was lovingly placed by hand. Option+drag for hours. ugh.

Did you do half and then mirror, by chance?
As mentioned in the forum last night, will they be picky about the word pixels in the title? I sure hope not.

Why would they be picky about that? That's anal retentive even for woot (though lately, woot has been incredibly lazy about any rejections at all, so even less reason to worry).
My question and worry, as normal, will be printing. These are very close colors... at least being a one color design will make any color changes that might occur in printing less of a hassle, but if they keep it like this, there may not be enough contrast to even see the art.

Good looking shirt. This week I think there were quite a few looking pretty rough. I really appreciate how you used the parameters to make something cool and unique. I don't mind clever but at some point some things are a little silly.

I'm not sure what most people did, but I believe lots of people made a 64x80 pixel canvas and then filled in the individual pixels with the pencil tool. Selecting "resample image: nearest neighbor" when sizing up to the print sized pic makes the image larger without distorting the separate boxes/pixels of color.
Throwing that out there. It'll be helpful if you're planning on working on another one, or helpful for anyone who has yet to submit something, but wants to. It would've cut down on a ton of option-clicking, but then so would reflecting the image... I'm not knocking the methods to your madness though, I have my own masochistic tendencies to attend to. Plus there can be a tremendous amount of pride in not taking shortcuts.
Congrats on being fogged, cheesesandwich.... (mmmmmmm... cheese sandwich).

This is really nicely done Cheese. It almost looks like a cross-stitched or needlepointed design. It's very wearable. I like the blue on blue as well.

I totally agree. Some of these shirts are just too "out-there" to wear--too bright or too cartoonish. This one is subtle and almost sophisticated, as far as T-shirts go anyway. I hope others are inspired by this one.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful feedback and compliments! I am glad that there has been such a good response to this shirt. It was inspired by my love for all things William Morris. WM was one of the artists who first got me interested in design when I was a kid. If you don't know his work, check it out.
Sincere thanks to atarango, klswoot, BSmooth357, chicnoir, goredbirds101, BumperK, ChrisRisse, ya2sabes, TAYLORT5 and trumpetgal!

Mmhmm, a lot of shirts these days are trying way to hard to be funny or bright and explosive. It's really good to see some design and art get back up on the fog, keep it up cheese.

I really like it!!
My only concern is that it will turn out like Treacherous Waters. That was a beautiful design but the colors of the design and the royal blue of the shirt were so close that the design was all but completely lost on the shirt. I think that shirt makes me the saddest of all of the ones I have because it could have come out so great
I would hate to see this turn out like that.
But then again, the contrast of a damask fabric can often be subtle, so maybe this will work perfectly
Hope so!

Ok... so this is going to sound pretty stupid... but I need to ask. Is this going to be on the light blue shirt with the darker blue print? I mean... it's not going to be on the dark blue right? Just wondering

I made this little color comparison to illustrate the shirt color (royal blue) and the ink color I choose in my file (PMS 280). I hope this helps clarify/reduce concerns about the design printing well.
Thanks for looking!

clean, simple, and pleasing to the eye... a quality missing from a lot of pixel designs, even fogged. I think this accomplishes the removal of the harsh edges produced by pixels by getting the viewer's eyes to ignore them. Great job.

I can't seem to find the thread, but Cho had posted a template with real t-shirts. Anyone know where silverice86 can find that?
All I did for mine was get a picture of someone in a blank tee and made a clipping path around the shirt in photoshop. nothing special really.

Wrinkly shirts.
Keep in mind that the file is 604x643 and thus should be resized to 600x600 - otherwise your uploaded image will have artifacts and such.
