The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic representation of humanity's closeness to nuclear destruction, midnight being that end. I realize a minute past midnight (the title of the shirt) would be AFTER the destruction and there might not be any missiles left flying...but it's 4:30AM and I'm not changing the title. Plus, nobody would be around to prove me wrong.

This was partly inspired by our current leader-of-the-free-world's disregard for intelligent negotiation rather than dangerous escalation with our "rivals". If that's not an emergency, then I don't know what is.

And a much larger picture for those disinclined to click.

Re: 1 Minute Past Midnight

Wow, I love the interpretation of the concept and the shirt!
And how timely - In 2007, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists moved the minute hand of the Doomsday Clock two minutes closer to midnight to make it 5 minutes to midnight. In 1995 it was 14 minutes to midnight!

Quite frankly, I'm surprised it's currently only five minutes to midnight.

Great concept and execution. GMV.
