Re: The Night Shift
Great job Rglee. I like the color choices especially.
nice sun.. he looks tired. I like it.
Re: The Night Shift
This shirt makes me laugh. GMV.
Re: The Night Shift
love it! brilliant idea and entry. nice to see something totally different
Re: The Night Shift
Sweet design.
Re: The Night Shift
Excellent work as usual! I wish the rainbow could stay out all night.
Re: The Night Shift
Definitely one of my favorites so far. I really like just about everything about it. Great job.
yeah, this one is alriight
Re: The Night Shift
You see that moon up there?
Yeah.. that's me. Up all night.
Nice work!
I love how happy the moon looks!! You do such a great job conveying emotions in your art.
Re: The Night Shift
DO WANT!
<3
Re: The Night Shift
So cute! I like the way it fills up most of the shirt without being overly loud. Great placement!
Re: The Night Shift
Thank you for the comment on my thread. I do love your design as well. I wonder what the sun, moon and rainbow are paid. Hopefully the rainbow doesn't get very much because he's kind of a slacker--only shows up once in a while (and only when the weather's crappy) and never sticks around for a whole "shift". Very fun shirt.
Re: The Night Shift
this one is cool.
Re: The Night Shift
I especially like the moon.
Re: The Night Shift
Wow! Thanks for the kind words and a great day of votes!
Re: The Night Shift
Welcome to the fog R! I really think people made a nice choice by moving this steadily up the page. I finally noticed that he is punching the sunday card, clever! Good luck.
Re: The Night Shift
Full of win! This is amazing
brydesign wrote:Welcome to the fog R! I really think people made a nice choice by moving this steadily up the page. I finally noticed that he is punching the sunday card, clever! Good luck.
I didn't think that was the Sunday card, I think that's HIS card. The other cards say "Rainbow", "Moon" and "Stars".
It's great! GMV
Love this one
Re: The Night Shift
Really really good. The color choices especially stand out. Nice style.
brydesign wrote:Welcome to the fog R! I really think people made a nice choice by moving this steadily up the page. I finally noticed that he is punching the sunday card, clever! Good luck.
Thanks Bry! You give me too much credit- as HeidiAnn notes, it does, in fact, simply say "Sun." I thought about perhaps naming it "Helios" or even something like "Kip," but then I'd have to change Moon, rainbow, etc., and it would simply get out of hand.
Regardless, it was a blast to wake up this morning and see this sucker fogged! Thanks for the votes and nice comments, folks. Keep it up!
Re: The Night Shift
rGlee ;-), I love the colors and the placement. GMV.
brydesign wrote:Excellent work as usual! I wish the rainbow could stay out all night.
Sometimes, if you're really lucky... check this out... the moon halo is refracting... it's beautiful! Moon pic
The rainbow probably had to clock back in for that... llo.
Sorry, rg... not hijacking your thread!
I love how the moon looks like he's totally enjoying his job!
Re: The Night Shift
I like the shirt RLEE!!!! I I like it so much I might even buy one for Mr. Davis!
Re: The Night Shift
How do i vote????? please help??!!
Re: The Night Shift
I really like this shirt and I think this is why: I think the choice of the muted colors was brilliant. This is not normally my style shirt but I would absolutely wear this.
It's navy, not black right?
juanventura wrote:How do i vote????? please help??!!
You cannot vote until you have purchased one item from any of the four woot sites. Woot, shirt.woot, sellout.woot or wine.woot.
Once you purchase something from any of the sites, you may vote for any of the shirts during the derby.
juanventura wrote:How do i vote????? please help??!!
Sorry. Another tip. If you're not into any of the things currently up, you may purchase one of the previous shirts. It's called the reckoning list and it is located on the right side of the shirt.woot homepage. Those are past shirts and they are $15 instead of $10. That's where shirts go after their day in the glory. Also, we have four shirts to come before voting closes so maybe you'll like one of the dailies that pops up. Welcome to the happiest place on earth. Now hand your paychecks over to woot.

Thanks for the compliment! I like the blue of the punch-clock, myself. Yes, the shirt is navy. I've been trying to let the shirt color show through as much as possible lately- it really helps unify the design with the shirt and it sets the tone (so to speak) for the color choices. Everything's a little muted in this one, and there are no extremes (black or white) which gives it a classic feel. They're all pantones, of course, so it should print fairly close to the comp. ![]()
i love the design and the imperfect outlines, but I feel like the genius of the shirt is lost in the bottom corner, IMO. Still have my vote though, great work!
Re: The Night Shift
Aw! I am so glad this is in the fog now! It has been awhile since I've REALLY wanted to buy a Derby shirt! I hope this gets printed!
Re: The Night Shift
Great shirt!! GMV
Re: The Night Shift
I absolutely love, love, love this design, robbie! It's so simple, subtle, and artful--it is fabulous, and if it prints, I will buy and I will love, love, love wearing it often!
brydesign wrote:Excellent work as usual! I wish the rainbow could stay out all night.
Perhaps a moonbow could be clocking in?
Seriously love the design, just wish I could actually wear it to work. GMV!!
Re: The Night Shift
This shirt is fabulous - the style works so well for it. Love the faces on everyone, especially the moon. PLEASE BE A SHIRT. *crosses fingers* Will totally buy this one if it ends up for sale!
i'd like it a lot more if the moon and stuff was closer to the sun. not as spread out.
Re: The Night Shift
Love it! You got my vote!

Re: The Night Shift
Just checking to make sure I still want it...
Yep. I still want it.
Re: The Night Shift
This is outrageously awesome. Assuming it gets printed (and I think it's a pretty safe assumption), it will be the first ever derby shirt I have bought on shirt.woot after one year and 23 shirt purchases. Complete and total greatness.

Ha - i read it as a play on the day of the week and as his name, not that it makes a difference, its fantastic no matter what. It finally hit me today why they made this weeks theme work, happy Labor Day Sun!
Re: The Night Shift
Everytime I look at the moon it makes me happy.
Re: The Night Shift
I've really been wanting a navy shirt. This one is great. I think this derby is going to break me.
Re: The Night Shift
this one is fantastic. i really hope you get tops this week!
Re: The Night Shift
Wonderful
I love the placement of the sun and the moon. that alone gets my vote. Reminds me of the shirt i bought with the polar bear on it. I will stay up till 1 o'clock to get this shirt
Re: The Night Shift
This shirt just makes me feel good. I don't know what it is, but when I look at it I feel good. Definitely GMV, and when (not if, right?) it prints it has my purchase.
Love this shirt. Can't wait to buy it!
Re: The Night Shift
OK Mr. Lee, I sat out this week so I could take time to vote. Here is my vote, and I will give you my $10 this weekend.

Cool! Thanks Chris- I'm honored, and I hope you're right about its chances this weekend...
I so hope this makes it! If it does, I may have to pick up Tin: Old Skool so that I can own the full 5-shirt Robbie Lee Woot collection.

Big smile on my face! Thanks mollib!
Re: The Night Shift
very nice design, wtg.
this shirt is ridiculously adorable.
Re: The Night Shift
Will buy this tomorrow!
Re: The Night Shift
I cannot believe this didn't print! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU WOOT VOTERS?!? This is now relegated to the collection of shirts I own only in my dreams as they took 4th in their derbies. Waaaaaah!
Re: The Night Shift
So great, I love the concept and the expressions. This is the only fogger I'd have purchased. Pity. Maybe this will get another chance down the line.
Re: The Night Shift
I really can't believe this shirt didn't win.. It's the only Woot shirt I've seen lately that I was even considering buying...and this was a must buy first I laid eyes on it.
Maybe we'll get to see it again down the road...
I agree, the only one I would of considered buying. Shame.
Re: The Night Shift
hopefully day of reckoning for this shirt. Nice design
Re: The Night Shift
Yup. It's a shame this one didn't print.
Re: The Night Shift
Would totally buy this in a heartbeat.
Re: The Night Shift
You should sub this over at Threadless, I think it would do well there. Cool design!
opifan64 wrote:You should sub this over at Threadless, I think it would do well there. Cool design!
While I'd hate to go against such a brilliant designer's opinion, I must. For now. Wait it out til woot's next do-over... if it doesn't get printed after ed's choice, then you can take Opi's advice
Oh, and always good to see familiar names 'round here, Opi. We seeing any work from you in the future?

Is there any way to still buy this??? I love it!!
