Re: What? No! Stop!

This is very fun and great illustration, but it is not within the given print area. Or, at least I don't think it is. I love the design though.

Thanks. I THINK it's in the print area. It doesn't wrap around to the back or anything. It's on the front. Good, right?

I'm glad you went with the yellow! Looks great!

Regarding the area: it should be one inch from any seem and for some.

well, I think it's about 30% too big. They have 2 or 3 screens, but the biggest is 16x20. If the shirt you have it on is a men's XL, then the design measures about 21x26, since it completely covers the width of the bottom of the shirt.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, this is an area that they have been really lax about enforcing, but it really can't print as big as you've shown it. Showing it larger than life seems to work with the voters, too. ;^)

I think you're a t-shirt size math genius. Thanks for checking back and responding. I suppose it would be too big if that's a men's XL. When I was estimating the size I measured on myself (I'm a women's small) and estimated how big it would be on a mens. I might not be very good at guessing. Let's just say it's a men's small in the photo. Eh? Eh?

Yeah, there just seems to be a lot of misunderestimating of the sizing lately. The trouble is that they use a smaller screen on the mens small, so that the shirts all end up looking roughly similar proportionally. No matter how we talk through it, when woot prints the shirt, no-one will get a shirt with it this close to both sides and the bottom and this high toward the neck. If you look at their template, they include a sizing box which is roughly how each shirt, no matter the size, will print.

Ahhh... yes. The elusive template. I could never download it. It kept crashing my computer.

Thank you, once again for your illumination.

And maybe I'll resub this one. I'll make it normally sized on the shirt and perhaps a different color. Just to see, since this one's obviously not doing well.

a) this is my favorite "design" in the derby

b) this is my least favorite shirt color

c) the "detail" image (thumbnail) is not flattering, and does not entice one to want to see your full image.

-------

I recommend you rebumbit this one on a shirt of better color (green or blue), and adjust the placement on your thumnail for this new version, something that tips us off on how great the design and actual placement of the image on the shirt is.

Oh. And if anyone sees this before the resubmittal, go ahead and tell me if there's a particular color you think you'd like it in. Right now, I think it'll be grass green
