Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
This is great. The hand holding the balloon looks wrong though. The other hand has fingers, what happened to them on the balloon hand?

Is that also why you misspelled "thief?" Resub quick and I promise not to tell anyone. ![]()

Hahaha! That's what I get for waking up and subbing immediately. Oh, the shame of the typo!

Now you have me feeling like I should resub. I'm very anal. No one else will notice, though. Right? RIGHT? These things bother me to no end ![]()
Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
Something in this speaks to the human condition, and shows how our own choices in the literary arena of man against himself ( to steal or not to steal) sometime thrusts us into the unforgiving realm of man against nature, (obeying the law of gravity is not always in our best interest) and well forces us to explore the dimension of our being seen only from above the ground. The real question here is, "Which is better, a purloined glimpse at our world that may cost us our life, or the safe two footed exploration of what is truly ours and solid under our feet?"

Maybe it is symbolic of the boys inability to let go after making his choice to go balloon tripping?

Meh, do whatever you like. Jack31081 won a Derby with Cofee [sic] Levels Critical and Woot fixed the typo later. They also corrected "Iceburg, a Head!" way after the fact (the morning after it was posted).

Awww... Chances are Woot will take care of it for you if it prints...

Just kidding. ![]()

You'd think being half Japanese you'd know more about Engrish... Sorry, sorry. :P

Whoa. You must be an English/Philosophy double major.
*Edit: I mean "Engrish"

Y'all are going to make fun of my spelling from this day on, aren't you? Blast! It's like that one time I happened to say "uber." I'll never live it down! ![]()

BWAHA! This one is hilarious. Great job Bootsboooots.
I had my balloon thieving days...now if the temptation strikes again, I'll be aware of the consequences.
Rule for new balloon thieves: stick to indoor shenanigans, lest you be floated up into SPACE.

Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
ya think he'd have learned the lesson from the boy who stole the fizzy-lifting drinks....
.....and I think......from now on.....we should just change the correct spelling to T-H-E-I-F to validate BootsX2 ! ;)

I agree wholeheartedly. I mean, it just makes SENSE, you know? THEft... THEif... I think just changing it would make everyone's life easier. Thank you for your support, Jestik. Unless you're making fun of me... in which case, IMA CUT YOU! ![]()

@Boots! Your replies always crack me up. And, check your PM, because I just sent you a message!
Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
I like the idea.
I do wish the people were pointing at him though. If they ARE pointing at him, then he's HUGE!
Either way, it's a cute idea.
Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
Ever since the Dessert derby, I watch for your designs. And, yep, checked out your children's book illustrations--Fantastic. Anyway, I LOVE your style! And, of course, I keep voting. Great color choices--totally feels like a fall carnival. Best of luck!

That made me laugh. Out loud.

ha, no, I'm not making fun (imma no cut, no thank you). I think a Tshirt is a great testament to your talent, but to actually change the English language......now THAT'S leaving your mark!!!

Wow. Thanks. You're the best. I still love your clown. It's great. If I could mentally push it further (farther? further, I think) up the charts, I would.

Hmm... yes... my mark on the world. Ehhhxcellent... I wonder what my mark looks like. I hope I have a pretty one.
Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
if not a mark, then maybe a glancing blow or superficial wound
Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
For some reason I missed this on the boards, and just ran across it and literally laughed out loud! Great shirt, as always! GMV
Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
I like the design, but I've got way too many brown shirts...so skipping this time. Hope to see it on another color some time!
Re: Lament of the Balloon Theif
I freaking LOVE this design!
