Strangers with Candy...

words WITH CANDY spelled out by strange-looking creatures with lollipops.

Thanks for your vote!

I think the last one with that pleading look could be a shirt in itself! Love these Seussian beings!

Jahrpm - My daughter's favorite is the "y" at the very end.

What creative little creatures you have here! They'd make great characters in a children's book. GMV

I love candy and as much as I want to love this design I can't get over the fact that it barely looks like it spells out "WITH CANDY" to me. I do like your little guys though.

Re: Strangers with Candy

Thanks for the comments! The reason I didn't put 'With' and 'Candy' on separate lines is because I wanted to do the text in a block type form similar to other recently printed shirts where the text trails one word after another. When I saw that 'with candy' was nine letters, I wanted to stack it 3 by 3.

It looks like there's quite a wide-range of interpretations for this theme. My understanding of the theme was that each letter was supposed to be created in some sort of graphic or art drawing. So, I wrote down each letter and created the lil' buggers around the letter without using a known font. I think the creatures form the letters...but I agree with Rachel and WB that the center one looks a bit more like a "G" than a "C" and I probably shouldn't have used such long arms on the "T". But I definitely think they look like letters.

Thanks so much for the comments and the votes. I really appreciate it!

While most of them are clearly understandable, the T and G are a little iffy, but I think the only reason for that is because of the 3 line structure. If it were 2, splitting the words so it read: With/Candy it would make a big difference. cool shirt though

Re: Strangers with Candy

Just realized that I forgot to update this thread to point out the new v2 of this design. Took suggestions that were made in the thread and made the text more legible. Changed the 'C' and 'T' slightly.

Please vote on the new one if you like it. Thanks!
