Wow, that's really incredible line work. I need somebody to teach me how to do that.

To me this designs is screaming for full color, but I still like it as is.

Wicked design. You've gmv and best of luck.
I too would have liked some color to it, but the drawing is so awesome, it isn't all that necessary. I really hope this one makes it into the fog.

I appreciate the compliment, and I'd say you don't need a teacher for your line work. For this design, I turned my sketch into a blue line drawing. Then I inked the final lines on a second layer, using the 'Scratchboard Pen Tool' in Painter. I love digital over real ink, and the multiple undo is my friend.

btw, I saw a "Jimmy... Is That You?" today at Costco. They loved that I commented on it.

I'd love to add color, but simply don't have the time right now.. So this will have to do.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This is my first Shirt.Woot submission. I don't really expect to win, especially submitting so late. I just wanted to figure out what goes into a submission, so I'll be ready for the next derby.

Thanks for the comment and the tip. I use the same technique as fall as scanning
it and drawing the lines on Photoshop, but I don't use the pen tool... I'll have to give that a shot.

It makes me happy to hear people's stories of seeing my shirts in public. Woot!

p.s. This is your first design on Woot??? Wow, welcome aboard! With your skill you're sure to get one printed very soon.

This is freakin awesome! I like the idea, design, and drawing a lot. Honestly, the only reason you're not getting more votes is the color, or lack of it. Wooters don't like creme very much. Also, you could probably crop your thumbnail even smaller around the picture, so that you can see more of the detail. People really can't make out anything from your thumbnail, so they are less likely to click on it. Keep up the good work!
