This is a collaboration between me and my wife. Hopefully the title, mentioning Egyptian as the art form, counts...

Did look at some reference pics for the outfits and hieroglyphics, but otherwise it's all new.

I like this. But why, oh why, are all the shirts I like that place in ether cranberry or brown? GMV anyway. I can wear it with my brown cargo shorts.

Make sure the hieroglyphics at the bottom and on the right don't say anything that would undermine your theme. I don't think this would be killed by the no text rule. Most people would consider hieroglyphics as Egyptian art. A bit of an art and text collision.

Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.

They're just symbols... We're not egyptologists, so we have no idea what letters they are. but they sure look cool. I defend the brown since it was the closest color to some of the walls in the tombs, and it looked much worse on cream. So brown it is. Thanks to everyone who voted! You folks are really making me 'n the missus very happy!

This is (to me any many others) a well-designed, funny shirt that is truly "in the style of" and not merely modifying someone else's painting. Took us 4 hours to do all of it... if you don't understand it, we're sorry... it's a pretty standard art form.

Amen!

The introduction to the Derby even said:
"We're not necessarily looking for parodies of specific works as much as entire schools."

This entry, among few others, epitomizes that statement. It got my vote as soon as I saw it.

Imagine that! My Join Date is a palindrome: 8-11-8
It's finally available!

Like the 1,000 other nintendo shirts in this derby aren't free advertising...

I dunno... I think there are a lot of folks who have Wii Fits who are an audience that are untapped. I myself would never wear something with an original Nintendo on it, since I'm from the Atari 2600/pong generation...
