Oh that is just to funny! llo! He can so make that jump!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
go edgar!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Spot on, Edgar. I knew this was a great theme for you.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
I really like the way you did the shadows on the ground, and you somehow managed to convey exactly your title simply through the expressions and postures of the people in the background. You, sir, are crazy awesome.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Nice shirt edgar. Hopefully, this one will stay in the fog.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
So simple...so good. GMV, Edgar!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
This is totally something I would have tried as a kid if I had large metal spikes readily available :P
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Perfect execution of the theme. GMV.
you've done it again, edgar!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
awesome! go, little daredevil, go! sort of like the crazy stuff i did as a kid....
[which is why i walk like a 75 year old now.]
if this prints, it'll make up for losing fiction vs non fiction.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
this is incredible, great work gmv!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Cool! Love it.
Yea, Edgar!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
This epitomizes Optimism. Great job, Edgar!!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Awesome!!!
Why?
Because the chicks dig it!
This is one of my favorites of yours.
I love the dot of sharpness on each of the spikes.. very nice touch.
this is hilarious
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Ah, such sweet optimism :D. It's quite perfect!
This shirt would be so much better if the print was bigger.
Rawkfist wrote:This shirt would be so much better if the print was bigger.
I don't think that's possible, because the image is already the widest it can be... so he would have to change the proportions in order to make the image larger.
I've always been a fan of your work edgar, the unrealism (is that a word?) of your characters are very appealing and much more wearable then a lot of other stuff on woot. I agree that it would be nice if the design was a bit larger but I wouldn't want to sacrifice the proportions to make it so. in short, awesome job.
PS. Any chance you'll make an "after" shirt? ha cause he's definitely not making that...
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Love! Great talent for simple execution of a theme.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
looove this :D
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Without the text it's totally not worth it.
xxchange wrote:Without the text it's totally not worth it.
The same could be said for your post, but still, here you are.
This is hilarious Edgar!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
I'd want one too
xxchange wrote:Without the text it's totally not worth it.
I completely disagree with you here. I looked at it and immediately thought it was the perfect optimism shirt
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
He's totally not gonna make it.
i love love love this shirt!! i want one so bad! gmv
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
very cute cool indie. would make a fine shirt for anyones collection
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
This is beyond awesome.
xxchange wrote:He's totally not gonna make it.
=(
I love this design. The three onlookers are perfect.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
This shirt really needs some more votes and quick! Into the fog it gooooes!! :D
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
I'd buy this :-)
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Gorgeous. Even without text, it has to my mind a really nice ride the walrus of the logic of video games (where one would find a spike pit like that) and a cute, whimsical logic. The facial expression on the biker is priceless. For God's sake, into the fog with it - it's markedly better than three of the five shirts ahead of it.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
I love that he's wearing a bike helmet. "Safety first!"
Bummed that it looks like this isn't going to refog.

When did "ride the walrus" become a filtered word?
eHalcyon wrote:When did "ride the walrus" become a filtered word?
they got their software fixed that lets them filter stuff today. sock is filtered. jimiyo's favorite filterable word, clusterfrag, is now filtered.
eHalcyon wrote:When did "blend" become a filtered word?
methinks they were tired of "but, will it b l e n d?"
and rightfully so...
EDIT: Sorry to hijack... I do wish this shirt was in the fog. I agree with eHalcyon's comment below, but not necessarily in that order.
bradyson wrote:methinks they were tired of "but, will it b l e n d?"

That was my guess. I haven't seen any of those comments though - I don't frequent the non-shirt.woot boards (other than EBW) because I can't buy anything over there anyway. Well, if I do, I can't have it shipped to me.
Getting off topic though. Edgar, this is my third favourite design in the derby, right after BootsBoots' and my own. I hope you take this somewhere else in 60 days. I still recommend you try Cameesa. You have a group of very dedicated fans; I'm sure you would be an unstoppable force at Cameesa given their crowd-funded system. You've definitely got a crowd!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
amazing as always and yet another disappointing derby for me if this doesnt win, so sad
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
I saw this and laughed. All I could think about was all the dumb stuff my friends and I did as kids. Also, these spikes remind me of the ones from the original Prince of Persia (if any of you even remember a game that old!)
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
His friends are definitely the best part of the shirt for me.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
I can't believe this is more than two hundred votes behind 5th place. This is the only shirt in the derby that I voted for. Good luck on the next do-over derby.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
reminds me of "Evil Keneval" Fonz. love it
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
just great ![]()

something tells me if i submitted this same design it would be struggling for 10 votes. not my favorite edgar design but not a knock on him either, he is amazing.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Reminds me of words which I have always found motivational:
It must be borne in mind that the tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal.
The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.
It is not a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled.
But it is a calamity not to dream.
It is not a disaster to be unable to capture your ideal,
But it is a disaster to have no ideal to capture.
It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars.
But it is a disgrace not to have stars to reach for.
Not failure, but low aim is a sin.

Awesome and true.
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
HAHAHHAHAHA! Nice!
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
What a fun shirt... Nice job! I hope they make it.
