Re: Burnt Out
Pay no attention to the title. It's just how I feel. Although there is some light bulb correlation there. Tricky.

Re: Burnt Out
This must have taken you forever, no wonder you feel burnt out ;-)

It's funny, but it didn't. I was burnt out before I did this. I spent the least amount of time on this design ever. Weird, huh?
Re: Burnt Out
Wow, I was wondering how you were going to do your style in this derby, but you did it. Great idea and exicution Boots! GMV as usual.
Re: Burnt Out
Goodness gracious, Boots. HOW did you churn this out so quick? I love it. The detail is crazy.
Re: Burnt Out
Just got a chance to check out what people have so far and out of all the entries, I saw this one and was wowed. I clicked on it and guess who's design it was... Great Job! This is fantastic! +
Re: Burnt Out
Just a suggestion, boots. I like the dark color of this, but when I think of moths to a flame (light source) I think of it being lighter: pale yellow, bright yellow, white. Something much brighter to give the the full effect. I understand the name of the piece and why it's dark, but I saw you were possibly considering a resub... that's why I'm suggesting this.
It is really good though.

Thanks, Jaden. I think I'll try one with a lighter color tonight. I think you're right.
Thanks for the comments everbody.
Re: Burnt Out
....oops. I looked again, and now I see a scary face in the bulb. I need to go do something productive, my brain must be broke. 555 (ha, ha, ha)

That's what I keep telling everyone, but no one will believe me!
Re: Burnt Out
This is wicked awesome, Boots. Your work is always so intriguing. I find it amazing that one line can look so fantastic – phenomenal job on this, as per usual!
Re: Burnt Out
Bootsx2, somehow you've managed to add your whimsical charm to this as well. Bravo! Also, I like the idea... While I think many designs here are well done, and as an art exercise it's awesome... I have to think about what I would wear on a shirt and this is something I would. I would love a lighter color too if possible. If not, you gmv either way as I love it <3. Rock on Ms DoubleBoots!
Re: Burnt Out
Lotsa great work on this one Jamie! Don't let the man get you down! You have a lot of support here and the rest of Woot nation will come to their senses soon enough.
Re: Burnt Out
damn. even when you plan to take a break, you rock.....
but this def. needs to be on a bright yellow shirt.

Ditto... lemon yellow ink on the asphalt shirt would be teh awesome
Hey grandma bootsboots, do you have any spare embroidery hoops? Sorry, not for me...

ahuhu!

I am not a fan of yellow on asphalt (or asphalt for that matter) but w/e you decide Boots. I still would love to see a "lighter" version.

I'm hesitant to post a lighter one now since this one seems to be doing ok. I will say that I did try the yellow on asphalt, and while good in theory (it was my first instinct), it didn't look very good. Maybe later I'll post some different colors in the forum.
Thanks for the support guys!
oh yes please yellow on a darker color that would make even cooler then it is!!!
I like how the colors do make it a subtle design. If you resub, you still gmv. I look sickly in yellow so that's not my first choice. (Even though Lemon is the New Asphalt! ahuhu) Still a great design
Change of color might do it for me! GMV on a resub!
Re: Burnt Out
How funny that we both had the same idea. Yours is pretty cool! Much better then mind. Although I have another one that I will be submitting soon. Good luck! GMV

Ok, ok, guys. I put some different color options up in the forum here: http://shirt.woot.com/Forums/ViewPost.aspx?PostID=2872157&PageIndex=10&ReplyCount=362#post2875640
If enough people want a resub with a light design on a dark shirt, I'll do it in the morning. Happy now? ![]()
Re: Burnt Out
sooo..mannnny...little line! ha ha
Great shirt! Hope this one does well!
Re: Burnt Out
beautiful and talented. This should be in the fog, far above what's there now.
