Thanks Andy. I'm not so sure about that, darker themed designs don't tend to fare very well, but it's the only idea I could come up with.

I really, really like this, but I would be wary of wearing it...mostly because I was raised in a "hellfire-and-brimstone" kind of church and seeing that horseman just brings back baaaaad memories. :P However, it is an awesome work and a great twist on a "beginning".

Yes, this shirt reminds me of every Christmas home with my mother. I actually got a little lurch in my stomach when I saw the design. Beautiful artwork, as always tgentry. If this places, I will certainly buy it.

You don't like horizontal designs do you? as with the optimism tee you threw in a vertical piece to square out the composition. The sword ruins the shirt for me, perhaps I'm just too picky, nice design otherwise.

Even with the sword, the design is still very much horizontal - not nearly a square.

Great work as always, tg. Something about orange on red rubs me the wrong way, but you definitely need that red background for the piece - fiery skies and all. It looks splendid. I especially like that one end of the flames looks like a scroll. Intentional, I presume?

Stupid tricksy return key.

Why oh why does great imagery have to be ruined by religion. Design is great, colors are great, but I just can't vote for a religious shirt.

Not trying to interpret for anyone, but the scrolly looking area on the bottom might also appear to some to portray an "abstract" open Bible - at least that was my interpretation and it seemed to fit with the rest of the graphic/title.

I thought the print was red, too, until I saw TG's post. I'm glad, though. I love cranberry, and think it's the prettiest color for a print. Especially this design.

I'm still wishing Drakxxx's design would have printed this derby

I've no confusion that it's cranberry. But cranberry is still red - just a dark red.

Hee, I love the theme, although I am not Christian and for the first millisecond I thought this was just a fantasy/warrior thing. But, Biblical stuff is still very culturally relevant and apocalyptic stuff is interesting. This just has a tremendous epic, mythic feel to me, in addition to being beautifully violent. I don't consider this necessarily a 'religious' shirt. You can reference things without being religious or dogmatic.

The nice thing is I can get this shirt for my niece (as well as for myself), who's almost a precocious goth (she loves violence, this kid) but whose parents are born-agains and wouldn't allow her a shirt like this UNLESS they could justify it religiously. So, win-win! (and win, shirt, win!)

I knew it was cranberry - forgot there was another red entirely, actually - so I too was using 'red' as in 'cranberry is a shade of red'. And I LOVE this shade of red.

But I am sad like you that Illustrator's Block failed. I'm betting the other shirt I would have bought (that had a chance at winning, at least) will not get printed either. Le sigh.

Weren't you just complaining about voting for or buying a shirt based on 'a story' that too many people take to literally?? Gee, I guess it is possible to buy/like a shirt even if you don't believe in the 'mythology' behind it.

Didn't you just slam some "fictional" story about a man and Arc and thus the shirt was not worthy, but this one out of the same book is?

You confuse me, but most people that think they know everything do.

Since this is unlikely to win here, could you please make the rounds on the various competitions sites with this design? I'm loathe to buy from Spreadshirt because of the lower quality and higher cost. If you put this on Cameesa, you'll have my support. And if not any of those, could you please TeeFury it before going to Spreadshirt?

Same goes for Big Words.

Thanks for displaying your ignorance for everyone to see! You're not even smart enough to see the unintended irony because the imagery is *inspired* by religion, not ruined by it, since the inspiration comes first. I guess you don't go to art museums or listen to classical music either? Moron

I really like how you've interpreted Revelation in your design. It looks like there is a scroll on one end but I don't see the other half of it... Is this intentional? Either way I think it's a sweet shirt and could even spark some evangenlizing

I have to agree here... this is simply too epic to waste away on Spreadshirt. Shop it around to Threadless, maybe DBH, and if nothing comes of it, I will guarantee I will be among the supporters to print this as Cameesa.
