It should be fine, the design is meant to fit right into the boundaries, and can be adjusted if I didn't align it exactly correct.

I totally dig this design. It's very sweet, but I'm concerned that it won't get the vote-lovin' it deserves because the thumbnail doesn't give one the impression of what the shirt actually is. The first time I was browsing through shirts I thought, "oh hey look, a tree one. Next." Even the words "to see much more" didn't really draw me in. It's already just a small portion of the tree, so I thought, "probably the rest of the tree." The concept is very cool, and the thumbnail doesn't draw 'em in, and that's a shame.

That being said: man am I happy I clicked. I love the shirt, and I hope that votes are soon to follow. And, to be fair, and don't know what I would have chosen as the thumbnail. . . it's a hard comp to represent in thumbnail form. Good luck!

Are the birds at the bottom part of the shadow? If so, shouldn't they be upside-down?

If they aren't part of the shadow, then why are they green? (Just asking).

burnsy42: Thanks a lot! Yeah I spent a while on the thumbnail, it was very difficult due to its shape and focus on two separate items. I hope it gets the votes!

ms4guy: Thanks, the birds are actually upside down to match the tree, best seen in the thumbnail with the bird on the branch. I changed the color because they didn't stand out as being an important part of the shadow, and the birds really mark this as a tree and not messed up roots. (I loved mgs4 by the way.)

i think the whole concept of a seedling turning into a tree is becoming a new cliche. that being said, this one is probably the nicest i've seen. i've had to think about it awhile, but i'll vote for it.

I'm actually really hoping "She let them go" by Bootsboots gets at least 3rd place,
but out of respect for this one, I'm breaking my rule of one vote.
I thought it was a tremendous idea. Even if it was "Cliche".

Nice job on this one. I think the only thing that would improve it would be to make the tree trunk a little more curvy. That's just my opinion though. Still GMV.

I didn't realize they were upside down in the thumbnail. One of 'em has it's sings up, the other has 'em down. Who's to say that one isn't the other? And the one sitting in the tree didn't even register as a bird until I realized that it was SUPPOSED to be upside down. Which only came after I had clicked. You see the problem. . . Either way, I see you're moving up. Good luck!

Thanks! Good idea, the trunk could use a little bit of deformation, but a strong shadow is cast so I figured it would be quite straight. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I should def have shown more of the tree in the thumbnail, or somehow show the sprout in the thumbnail as well. Thanks for your support, glad I managed to move up!

I really like the concept, just think it needs to be turned around to draw the eye up.

Good idea, I have it going down to hint at roots and the sun over the wearer's shoulder. If you were looking at the wearer-of-this-shirt in the mid-morning the light would come down over the shoulder from the east (depending on which way they were standing) and cast the shadow over the shoulder, down their body.

I hate to be the one to say this, but as a female, I'd be worried wearing this shirt, because the brownish color of the tree and the "bushiness" look to the branches...? Yea, I would not want to wear this. If it were the other way around, with the tree going up, I'd like it more, but it would kinda go against the idea of it being a "shadow"...*shrug* Sorry.

Never really thought about that, If I saw a girl wearing this I wouldn't think that at all. It's just a shirt after all, I would hope it would be worn out of enjoyment and not make someone self-conscious!

I do appreciate the input, it's great to get thoughts from other points of view to improve from. One single shirt can't be perfect for everyone!
