great improvements on the original, boots! I love the re-done ham, it's much more apparent that it IS ham!

I really love that you don't do the normal asphalt/black colors, that you step out into bold colors like this.

Hah. Thanks. I was thinking of resubbing on green, though. I tried it out and I think I like it better, but I selfishly really want an orange shirt.

I never read Dr. Seuss stuff growing up (I think I was out playing a lot ), but the college I went to had the main library named after him. And if you come by on his birthday, they celebrate it with cakes and punch. Sadly, no green eggs nor ham.

Then we go out to the park all matching...

Say! I like this green eggs and ham design on shirt.woot!
I do! I like them, username containing boot!
And I would wear it in a boat.
And I would wear it with a goat...

And I will wear it in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
It is so good, so good, you see!

So I will wear it in a box.
And I will wear it with a fox.
And I will wear it in a house.
And I will wear it with a mouse.
And I will wear it here and there.
Say! I will wear it ANYWHERE!
I do so like

If I wrote poetry, I would surely incorporate "orange" and "more fringe" all the time. Most of my poems, therefore, would be about really tacky dresses.

Nice changes, just not as nice as my idea ;)
You know what would make this even better though? If it had a merry-go-round on it, but with people in place of the horses. Yes, and with elephants riding atop the people... *hint hint* I know it's time is up!! You can't fool me... But really, great shirt here. As noted before, orange is my favorite.

Trivia: Only once in the entire history derbies has an orange shirt been printed. (JadenKale's Oh Burned!!!, ). That's over 50 derbies ago!

So this shirt is like... history being made.

Oooh, do it! That'd motivate me to get a couple others you have on there as well... The only thing holding me back so far was having no idea what their print quality was like, and what kind of printing methods they used. Care to share any insight on this?

this is just, just awful. i can barely tell what's going on in the picture. i had to read the comments just to know it was green eggs and ham. this will get printed, no doubt about it. but sadly it's because of who the 'artist' is, and not because of the amazing artwork. a shame.

That's a very unfair comment. I like Boots' work every week, and have bought at least one of her winning designs, but that does not mean she automatically gets my vote. I think this shirt concept is totally awesome and well done and is appropriate on the color she chose, but I still find myself hesitating because of the color. The color orange woot uses on the site seems slightly misleading because I ordered The Cake is a Liar for a friend and when it got here it was SO BRIGHT ORANGE that I actually apologized to my friend that it was so bright.
Anyways, the point of that ramble is that as much as Boots has a history of awesome, there are probably many voters who are a little intimidated by the shirt color and she is still in the fog despite that, so I think that says a lot for her design.

In the end I might buy one anyways. My sister's name is Samantha, Sam for short, so I can make her wear this shirt for that reason hoho.

If people are willing to vote for a particular artist week after week, doesn't that say something about the artist's talent? Don't you think there might be a reason for continued success week after week? What is it, do you maybe belief people just find bootsboots charming so they feel they HAVE to vote on her shirts in order to appease the gods of charm? ...well okay, maybe you have a point...

I liked your first version of this before the derby opened. The halftones and tools just don't do it for me. But people are enjoying this version and that is what matters. There is always room for Dr. Suess . . . and Jello.

A bit of trivia about the book:
It was written to win a bet that he couldn't write a book using 50 words or less and it be a success.

An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

I am all for mean and critical posts; what I have a problem with is that he often does not say anything of substance that can be debated. Also, I notice he is simply repeating the same criticisms he has posted previous weeks towards the same artist, and still employing his hit-and-run/sniping tactic and ignoring responses.

Sure, he said he did not get the Dr. Seuss reference, but that was just a launching point for his predictable run-of-the-mill attack: the artist wins due to personality, not due to talent, and the design embrangles because I say so. Finally, going back to him not getting the Dr. Seuss reference, his ignorance of popular/classic children's literature is hardly a point against the artist.

Get with The Program.
