This is for all those bands out there with a sidewalk instead of a stage. It's on a black tee just in case any filthy hippies actually want to use it. Hides the stains better you know.

Thanks guys! I see my share of them here in Asheville too. I think most of these guys are pretty proud of what they're doing, so as long as you're throwing something in the ol' guitar case (maybe one of these shirts perhaps?) you're probably ok.

I don't find it derogatory at all. In fact I'd call this unifying . THE Filthy Hippies, I mean once you've got the "THE" your practically a union right? This one shirt may increase working conditions across the nation!

I like the design, and the art, but I just don't like the word "Filthy" in there. If it was "Happy" or "Hungry" or something less insulting, I would love it.

Looks like most of you there got the joke, but for the few of you who are extra-sensitive just wanted to add...

I don't consider a homeless person and a hippie to be the same thing! Being a filthy hippie is a lifestyle and it doesn't mean you're at all disadvantaged or anything. Isn't the filthy part kind of the look they're going for? Hippies want to be hippies, so calling them hippies doesn't seem to me like it would be that offensive. It's really pretty amazing that some of them put themselves out there like that.

I think that those sensitive people are mistakening this shirt as one for the unfortunate whose life is only a box and a trumpet by their side. NY has a lot of that. I doubt that is what you were going for though. xD

Do like the shirt, however couldn't you have made it look less poster-y/box form? Or is that on purpose. I dont think those look very good on shirts imo.

I think it's quite funny to see those who are somewhat complaining about this shirt. If I was a filthy hippie, I would probably find this shirt hilarious.

I actually find it hilarious anyway and the only problem that I have with it is that it is on black. Where I live, a black t-shirt multiplies the already insane temperatures and it can be an issue.

I may just buy it and let it sit until winter. Not sure.

At any rate, great shirt. I just wish it was on a different color.

I don't think a filthy hippie would care if this was offensive. That's what makes them filthy hippies in the first place. Whoever is offended by this shirt is obviously not a filthy hippie and therefore has no reason to be offended. See? Problem solved!

This shirt is great, I wore it out for the first time on a booze cruise hosted by a friend's band.. it's subtle enough most people didn't get it at first.
