Re: henna hands

I had a similar idea, but decided I wouldn't be able to pull it off well enough to invest the time. Great job!

I like the parody, and even like that the execution is rougher and clearly your own, but I think this particular piece isn't perfect for the tee medium... especially on a rectangle canvas, and especially tilted as you've done. I commend the idea (the escher piece and the drawing something "living" idea have both been done to death, but this freshens it a bit) but it's just not right as a tee.

As M.C. Escher is one of my favorite artists of all time, I had to vote for this. Quite an original take on his classic drawing. Great work and best of luck.

Good concept, but I wouldn't want that placement.

I have an extremely similar idea that I've been working on since yesterday afternoon. Good luck!

Hopefully I'll have mine up sometime tonight.

M.C. Escher just rolled over in his grave.

Great idea, but I'm personally not fond of its execution.

I'm not fond of people that comment just to say something negative.

I really like the pale colors and the overall idea, just not the black background. it doesn't seem to fit the rest. maybe something white or tan would work better.

I actually tried in on creme before submitting and eliminating a color. Having the paper edges stand out a bit worked better for me. Too light of a color risked losing the fact that it was an Escher. The medium colors like blue were best but didn't work with the color scheme. If woot had a tan available it would have been a no brainer.
