Saw several versions of this last night/this morning and they all looked good. Sometimes it seriously takes longer figuring out colors than drawing the design. Turned out nice.

LOVE the grass green. Not enough of those around here.

The guys at the new SONIC drive-in told me to have a supersonic day. And I did!

Seriously... sometimes colors take forever! The bag derby felt like a breeze because we were limited. Thanks, glad you think it turned out nice!

Sweet. I don't have any, but I'd like one!

Thanks. I spent a looong time working on the flow of the shirt, so that's really good to hear.
I had another cotton plant (with stem) in the design too (the first thing I drew for the design so I got attached to it) and much as I loved it I eventually sacrificed it for flow::sob::. So glad to hear it has great flow, and that first cotton plant did not get removed in vain!

i like it. wondering about the comments i'll get as a fairly political black woman wearing a shirt about cotton. kind of into it. I also like the grass green lots, but would also sport one in true black for the above mentioned commotion it could cause. hope you win.

Interesting! I didn't forsee this as a potential political talking piece, but now that you've mentioned it, it certainly could be! If it does print, I'd love to know what happens!
Glad you like the grass anyway, and thanks!

This is so beautiful in it's simplicity! Each placement is perfect and more would just clutter the shirt. So far in this derby, this is the only shirt I would actually wear. GMV Good Luck!

The only shirt you would wear - wow! And I'm glad you find beauty in the simplicity - thank you. The comment about the placement/amount is also much appreciated because I spent a long time trying different placements (and trying to keep the first plant with stem), so it's nice to see you think it's perfect! Thank you: )

OooOo, so I really like the cotton idea, that's neat. Also I agree that the placement is perfect, the cotton bits are very organically spaced. Gives it a very nicely shaped silhouette .

I'm imaginging Woot's writup for this:

Wear this shirt: When you're eating popcorn. No one will know if you spill.

Don't wear this shirt: When other people are eating popcorn. They might start picking at your shirt.

Yeah, I know it's cotton, but it reminds me of popcorn. In a hungry kind of way.

I bought a big bag of Dilled Out popcorn from Kernels today. It sounds strange, but dill pickle flavoured popcorn is DELICIOUS.

Huh? You mean my comment about size? I was talking about basketball. You said "A short guy isn't going to be a professional basketball player." But I disagree - you don't have to be tall to handle the ball.

What? Those italics mean nothing. Nothing.

eHal i seriously might hate you right now! going on talkin bout dill popcorn makin my mouth water so i look up where kernels is (never heard of it) and it's in canada, but then i get excited because they have stores outside canada, and chicago is a big city and moderately close to canada so maybe they are here somewhere or at least the twin cities....

3 stores outside canada: friggen korea. blimey australia. california. fml.

dammit all.

You're in a pesky mood, aren't you? The first comment was funny, but I wondered if you even noticed how well that DilledOut popcorn added to the humor when you posted that. And now I'm just giggling. It's gonna be a good day. Possibly not very productive, but there's humor in the forcast.

Hmm, I just went to their website to check it out. There are two options that I see for you.

1. It's a franchise business - you could open your own Kernels! And given how it seems you don't have any comparable popcorn stores in Chicago, it wouldn't have any competition - you could make a killing.

2. It seems like you can order products from them directly. Strangely, the order form only lists four of their flavours (I can vouch that Jalapeno Jack is wonderful as well, and I'd guess that White Cheese is pretty good). You should email them and see if you could get your hands on some other flavours. You might also be interested in flavours like Cheesy Dill and Wild Buffalo Wings. If you have kids, they might like Superkid - the pieces are brightly coloured (red, blue, green, yellow) and, if I remember correctly, they're sweet.

The only issue is that shipping might getcha. And I'm not entirely sure if they'd send the popcorn to you pre-popped or if you'd have to figure that part out yourself.

Their FAQ says that the popcorn keeps fresh for 2 months so they might pre-pop it for you.

It also provides a toll free number for ordering at 1-888-267-6262, which might allow you to get Dilled Out or other flavours.

POPCORN!

Edit:

I thought of an Option 3. Kernels sells the flavouring itself in little shakers (like salt and pepper). If you can't do option 1 and option 2 doesn't work out, PM me and I could look into buying a few shakers and sending them to you. Then you could just add it onto regular microwave popcorn!

(Sorry jas!)

Option 4: see if there are any other distributors. I was just browsing other hits on Google and someone here mentioned that they get Kernels stuff at Walmart. Maybe only Canadian Walmarts have it, but you never know.

There are other people you could talk to about orders as well. I found This Ontario store (which I've never heard of) that sells Kernels products. Maybe they're willing to ship internationally.

Then again, this may be going to way too much trouble just for some tasty popcorn.

Cotton floss is really good to use after you've gotten popcorn stuck in your teeth?

Cotton candy is nasty, though. Blech.

Oh, you mean the SHIRT? Yeah, well, that's just awesome. Now if only Woot could make the cotton a little bit fuzzy...
