Thanks! And thanks to Dankstick who had a similar concept for the Mystery derby but graciously green-lighted this one in the forums.

Seems that even with clues, not even an overly animated moment of thinking could have predicted this... Poor, poor Steve and Salt!!

Well done art guy! (PS: I think I solved the mystery)

Big props to SkekTek for the suggestion of including clue pages on the floor! The derby thread is a great place to post sketches, etc., on Thursday nights and get great feedback before you sub on Friday.

This shirt is hilarious. This would be a great shirt to have in your closet next to the cartoon-characters-in-a-can shirt and the spicy meatball shirt. I loved Blue's Clues when I was a kid, but this shirt still made me LOL.

Can someone explain the papers and the broken salt and pepper shaker.

I hope explaining these things does not ruin the joke.

Blue's Clues hasn't done anything new since 2006. Steve left the show in 2003.

It gets a chuckle, but at this point is dated and irrelevent. Can't imagine wearing it.

The first thing I thought when I saw Blues Clues for the first time was "Wonder who Steve cheesed off to get this punishment of a role?"

Looks like he might have cheesed Blue off too L0L

Glad to see this doing really well. I think it's one of the few entries this week that I could actually see on a shirt. Has a nice Threadless type of feel to it. Well done.

While a stretch, this at least dealt with the word "blues." It's pandering to be sure, but seems to come from the very wide interpretation of blue.

I'm not sweating it. It's definitely a huge departure from my normal style and subject matter, plus it's doing well, plus it's a reference to pop culture, so it does feel a bit pander-ish.

Honestly I don't think it feels that pander-ish. Has anyone ever done a Blues Clues shirt here? It's not like there's a huge Blues Clues demographic pining for more and more Blues Clues every week. If that were the case then I'd definitely call it a pander. IMO a pop culture reference only equals pandering when it's a very popular, very overdone reference.

Thanks- I'm not saying it WAS pandering, just that it's got that vibe to it. If it WAS pandering, I would have made the clues identify Mario as the assassin and the cops would have had anime eyes. ^_^

It's arguable that one could know that there is a love for Blue's Clues at least among artists here after the myriad of designs from the mystery derby. That said while many did well, I don't think any of them actually won so who knows?
