Derby #115: National Parks

take the tour! refurbed, resubbed, all shined up!

It's funny, and frankly I'd like to keep it, but we just can't use the actual name.

Rejected because: It's funny, and frankly I'd like to keep it, but we just can't use the actual name.

I revised and refurbed my design, which had 21 votes then. I thought the live-trace of the head looked bad, and the ladder was kind of ugly, and I couldn't stand it, so I rejected it myself for "Ugh. sort of needs work, Mr. J.O. Sephus. Do better."

It's still going to be rejected. You used a photo my man.

Plus:

"But do not use the names of any actual National Parks, landmarks like Old Faithful, or the U.S. National Park Service."

Lots of people use photos in this way. they just don't talk about it. In this case, though, I TOOK the photo myself. There isn't anything from the internet on here, and that is a HUGE difference. Woot has never rejected a design in which the person used their own photo.

Well, as I told Woot on submission, the name of the mountain is Rushmore, a name much older than the national memorial, which is Mount Rushmore National Memorial. My shirt only says "Rushmore". If they decide that is close enough, I can't stop them from rejecting it, but I think my design is in line with what they intended.

I think you might be able to get this a Honorable Mention if you resub with out Rushmore
