Re: Dirtybottom Park

Nice. Eddy Murphy says this in his stand-up bit "Delirious".

Scored my second Big ol' Cornucopia during the Wootoff on 12/1/10.
Finally scored a Bountiful Overflowing Cornucopia - During the Happy Hour during the Wootoff! on 4/28/10

Ah thanks! I was trying to remember where I first heard the joke and couldn't. That makes sense, though, because I loved delirious and raw when I was a kid.

Oh, good... Someone else was allowed to watch Murphy's standup as a kid! I thought I was the only one (with parents that didn't give a scaffolding).

My favorite was the farting in the bathtub bit.

why would this be rejected? it follows the theme, the 6 color rule, and the allowance of relevant text. you think the poop is grounds for rejection? it shouldn't be, 'cause everybody poops!

You're right about all the rules you followed correctly, but just know that woot has a history of rejecting poop jokes. You probably won't fall under the rejectionator's radar unless you start getting massive amounts of votes, though.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the heads up. It was just the first place my mind went to when I thought of national parks for some strange reason. I have been a woot member for years, and have already made several purchases over at kids woot for my son, but I am new to these shirt derbies (this is the third week I have entered something) so I am still trying to get a feel for the community, but I definitely like the way the site has almost a sense of loyalty and family to the regulars (who do some amazing work).

I have been a colored pencil artist for about 18 years now, so shifting over to a digital medium without blending and gradients almost feels like I am starting all over again! I do like the challenge, though, and will continue to hang around and submit as time permits. I will try not to reference any vulgar bodily functions in my next entry, though! ;)

lol. yeah, my parents let me watch just about anything when I was a kid, but they didn't let me show my friends, since their parents didn't approve! They did make sure to let me know what was appropriate and inappropriate so that i could appreciate vulgar humor without being a vulgar and disrespectful person, though...of course, I did forget those lessons with this entry. ;)

No worries, man. You'll come to discover that there are a slew of unwritten rule to these derbies; I'm sure you'll catch on quick

lol. guess u were right. i guess animals in a park are not the same as the park itself.

i really need to learn more about the way these rejections work cause it really is like splitting hairs to me. i mean, my entry of a chef popping out of a stove for last weeks cooking theme was rejected because chefs and stoves/ovens apparently have nothing to do with cooking!

i'm sure the patterns will become more clear to me in a few more weeks, but in the future please give reasons why u think any entries i post may be rejected. i really want to figure out the details (like some interesting posts i read this week about the fine line between parody and copyright infringement) so that i don't keep wasting hours and hours on all of these entries to have them rejected because they are off-topic, despite my having designed them with the topic in mind (i have made 5 original submissions in 3 weeks and 3 were rejected as off-topic to much surprise on my part).
