In the middle are the 5 elements, also associated with the chinese zodiac.... water, earth, metal, fire and wood.

I tried making something that was relatable(like a ferris wheel), but also similar to the the zodiac wheel I see so often.

I like how iconic all the animals look-even sitting in ferris wheel chairs. The gold colors make them pop like little iconic symbols

Genius! I like the feeling I get looking at the design. Like each animal/year has to wait it's turn to come around again.

I like how the monkey is just hanging by the tail. I bet he hits his head on his way up haha

@mjc613 - Thanks so much! Hopeully it will, just not in a very prominent way... I wanted the ferris wheel part to be subtle and the focus to be on the animals.

I like how you drew every animal except for the dragon. Chinese dragons don't have wings! I keep on seeing them with wings in this derby and it bugs me.

I do think it's neat how it worked out that, with the tiger on the top, the monkey was on the bottom in the perfect position to scoop up that flower.

Oh no! You know, I think I did know that, but I guess it didn't strike me during the derby. And, when I was knee-deep in the design, since the dragon was next to the snake and some of the body is hidden in the seat, I remember thinking that wings would make sure he didn't look too snakey. Darn, sorry about that.

It did work out quite well with the tiger and monkey placements
