Re: Fish eat Fish

Although this is not exactly like the cup holder used by a famous coffee provider, it may be too close for their lawyers or woot's. Copyright infringement can be a tricky thing.

I wouldn't worry about the copyright infringement. I'd worry about the design having nothing to do with the theme, the title having nothing to do with the theme, and heck, even the title having nothing to do with the design. I don't want to be mean, but the point of the derby is to design a T-shirt that fits a particular theme each week.

I'm really sad to say it (because that fat bear is hella cute) but I'm not seeing even a bit of the theme here. At all. Unless you count that cup as being a 'faster, highers, stronger supersize'.

Also, you misspelled "decaf."

And iced coffee isn't served in a traditional coffee cup.

And since the coffee is iced, it doesn't need a sleeve to protect the drinker's hand from the heat.

"Champagne is a very kind and friendly thing on a rainy night." -Isak Dinesen

I'll take a stab at it: Polar bears usually (sometimes?) eat fish, but this polar bear is going to UPGRADE his diet(fish is for the fish), and drink a high priced coffee instead. The title fits, the theme fits... but then there's the text.

This is true, Iced Coffee is usually served in a clear plastic cup with no sleeve. I used to work at Starbucks though, and there are some weird people who demand a sleeve because the drink is too cold, or they don't like condensation.

Definitely no theme, and text all over the place.

People are pointing out that it's not on theme, has text, and might violate a copyright. That's not being Debbie Downer, that's just stating it like it is.

yeah i don't get how it connects to the theme either...but it is really cute! maybe save it for a "modern-day global-warming" theme?
