Nice one man. The only real problem I have with this is that it doesn't really look much like Alice. She's supposed to be blond and wearing a blue dress.

Your attention to detail continues to amaze me. I'm blown away by the level of intricacy in your designs.
Thank you so much for avoiding the "Disney-fied" interpretation of Alice. It's a personal point of irritation that for so many people, Disney's version of so many fairy tales and stories has become the *only* recognisable/acceptable version.

As someone else mentioned, keep in mind that Disney's version of Alice, is not the original, and certainly not the factual definition of the character.
If I had to guess, I'd assume Drak got his inspiration more from Lewis Carroll more so than Disney, but that might just be my observation.

I am such a nerd, I don't know any Alice in Chains, but now I will check some out, especially if this artwork portrays the bands temperament at all, because the artwork is dreamy.I love once again how the personality of the character is so strong. You both nailed it again!!
Can anybody recommend the best Alice in chains song ever for me to try?

Start with Your Decision, and maybe Check my Brain. Fairly mellow, but representative. Nixx on the Rooster - even I don't like that tune! Them Bones is really evocative. Man in the Box is a tough one to like if you listen too closely to the lyric.
AiC is really an acquired taste, I guess!

I know you've already gotten other advice, but as someone who knew & lived through the grunge scene (god, I'm soooo old :P), I say you should start here & work forward from there. If you're predisposed to this type of music, you'll like it from the start & probably enjoy the first 3 albums the most. If you're not & you're a newcomer who doesn't remember Layne (RIP, dude), then yeah, you might enjoy the newer (and IMO lesser) Jerry stuff more. Not that it's bad or anything, but I don't know if I'd start with it. Then again, maybe I'm just nostalgic, who knows. Hell, I even like Rooster & Man In The Box. Love, actually. Never knew anybody who didn't before seeing different here, but I try to keep in mind woot isn't a music site. Anyways, hope you find something you like in there somewhere, whether new or old. They were/are an awesome band. Ramble over, go have fun. Oh yeah, almost forgot, nice job, Drakxxx

Had to snip, but I totally get ya - I LOVED Layne! The new stuff is nice, and I'm hoping they'll find that minor-key harmony they had once more. MitB, though, is a bit hard-core for a noob and Rooster, while compelling, is some really depressing gristle. Still, I get the point - you're gonna like it or not, so might as well dive in. Consider me corrected! Lol!

I think it may have something to do with the way she's sitting in relation to the flat looking window. I don't know.

Yeah, in the original drawing, the hands were to big, so I did my best to fix them. The way I drew the figure, her right leg is extended more then the left, which is back closer to her, so the legs looked right to me. CrescentDebris and I decided the face I used worked best from the 2 faces I drew for the character. If it's not you thing, I understand.
The character is suppose to be in a corner, which is loosely hinted at by her hair going up.
I had drawn mock ups with the window both flat and angled, and it was my choice to go with the flat as it seems to make the overall composition smother, and the design flowed better with my eye.
With the kind of art I do, I do my best to make sure things like anatomy and perspective are as accurate as possible. I apologize that you find it off, but yeah, I did my best with it, and it looked pretty spot on to Mr. Debris and myself.
Thanks for all the support and comments so far everyone.

By no means do I think this is a common occurrence with you at all and am sure you did your best with the leg and foot. The hands definitely look better than before. I didn't mean to sound like you didn't try, I apologize if it came across that way. The face is more a personal preference thing with me, again not from a lack of effort on your part at all. Your art is not always my cup of tea for a t-shirt, but I always enjoy your submissions every week and know something original will be found with true effort.

I have to say I really like the new album "Black Gives Way to Blue". The more you listen, the more their music seems melodic and enduring. I would suggest "Private Hell" "Acid Bubble" and the title track from the album.

There are tons of references to the Alice books. The watch, the bread and butterflies, the playing cards, the shoes and dress, etc. She's wearing black here, which fits with both the card and chess themes of the second book, rather than the confusing and non-canonical blue that she wears in the Disney adaptions, which is why I guess some people don't think she looks like Alice from Lewis Carroll's books.
