Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
I really like the design and the colors but the tail fin on Moby not Jane is really throwing it off for me. It has that wispy fish tail look to it that really doesn't mesh with being a whale.
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
I love your whales, Boots! This guy and the Seamen Whales are both awesome. They really capture that giant blubbery creature feeling for me.
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
The Nautilus design gives me warm fuzzies. ^____^

I kept redoing the tail. I left it wispy because, although not whale-accurate, it gives more of a sense of movement. I hear his teeth are not whale-accurate either. ![]()

There's a time and a place for them, I think. ![]()
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
This rocks!
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
great work as usual... and personally, I love the halftone use here
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
I just had a very fun time putting word's into the whale's mouth. HAHAHAH! He looks most displeased with his situation... But then again, it's never fun to be harpooned in the booty.
Nice, Boots!!

Yeah there is just something about the tail that looks off, but over all my fav entry so far.
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
Nice work!
I would have preferred to see Moby "Not-Jane" win the exchange by swallowing the Nautilus.
This hits the mark of the derby theme, but I would not purchase a shirt depicting a harpooned whale.

He'll be ok, it's just a scratch. In the next frame the nautilus will be eaten.
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
You did such a good job. GMV!

I really like this design but I'd LOVE to see one of the Nautilus being eaten!! I'd totally buy that.

Don't worry it's just a tranquilizer harpoon. -_^
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
Love it. The colors are awesome and the whole thing turned out so well.
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
Loving that big d i c k this week boots. Reel it in!
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
really good entry this week, Boots! I really like the swimmy motion of the whale - it seems you've caught the action right before he crushes the nautilus!
AVAST!
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
Thanks, guys!
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
The Nautilus looks like it may be experiencing some whale envy ![]()
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
The cracking on the tail bothers me because it's a mix of material, but other than that cool and fun!
Re: Moby D/Twenty Thousand Leagues
Nice job Boots Boots! The whale looks great and so does the nautilus!
nice stuff
