I can't believe you kept that white.

Re: Green Planet

I love the shadowbox style of this design. Also, I do like the white - it gives a much better impression of being a planet from a distance, which is a strength in a shirt design, and adds to it becoming more involved and interesting the closer to get.

Re: Green Planet

Really great! I love the greens and the slight 3D effect you created. Really nice. (It's also funny how Blue Planet and Green Planet are side by side in the hotness;)

You went with my favorite version, and I'm glad you did. It doesn't say 'planet' without the cloud systems. +1

Good luck sachmoe!

apparently i'm in the minority, it just seems so live traced to me (not saying it is). I guess i do agree far away it does look more planet-like, maybe if it was a lighter green... idk, bothers me.

I see it, too. I think that, perhaps with a bit less cloud-cover, and a drop-shadow on the clouds, it would read better.

That's the "Breaking Light" design inside of the sphere right? It looks familiar. I think it looks weird stuck inside of a sphere like that tbh.

Good memory! I completely re-did breaking light and thought that I would try and make it fit to a world view. I am amazed that someone remembered that entry from so long ago!

I really like the sphere. The whole thing makes me think of a favorite marble I had. The depth and 3-D effect. The more I look at it the more I like it. I would love to wear this shirt.

Re: Green Planet

I think it would work much better on a darker background (navy or black maybe)

You probably are in the minority, but one of the hallmarks of a livetrace is that it doesn't feel interesting or organically done. This, while likely not livetraced, is also likely not interesting to you. Because all things being equal, it is one of the most boring ideas possible.

and that is why it is in the fog.

Haha yeah. I think it's cause I remember it as being one of the first nature-ish designs that incorporated the negative space so well.

This is easily my favorite, I will probably buy two if it makes top three. You did a great job by the way.

Oh man, I remember that one, too! One of my all-time favorites for sure. Interesting use of it here... I'll have to think on it for a while.

So is the white clouds or land masses? I like it but I feel like I just can't get the right image. If it's land masses they're not recognizable as anything but as clouds it works, but it seems strange for some reason.

I still like it thought.

it was meant to be clouds. I played around with land masses and I just couldn't get it to look good. Thanks.
